Our Story
The story of ZippyPaws starts with a love story between a girl and her dog. Co-founder Jen Glaser started ZippyPaws in 2011. Inspired by her Golden Retriever JJ, she recognized a need for dog toys that were both safe and aesthetically pleasing. The toys were an embodiment of everything JJ was: playful, colorful and full of fun!

Very sturdy and their favorite toy. They love the little fur ball hedgehogs that squeak. Perfect for small to medium dogs. One likes to chase the fur balls and the other likes to pull them out of the nest. Sturdy and great price for so much fun.

Got this for our puppies and they have so much fun with it! It’s easy for them to play tug of war or fetch, as well as just chewing on. It is washable and pretty sturdy!

My dog’s favorite toy.
My dog loves this. He’s a jack russell terrier, and is clearly happiest when burrowing and hunting down little mice like creatures – he likes to “bury” his toys and bones (and once my cellphone…) in our couch cushions. He also loves plush toys. So I knew this toy would be his favorite, and I was right. He can extract these guys in about 10-30 seconds, but is still interested in playing with the hedgehogs and the stump afterwards. He particularly likes the stump because it’s a nice big toy (for him, he’s pretty small), and the holes make it easy for him to grip it in his mouth – he will play fetch with himself with the toy, by throwing it in the air with his mouth and then running after it.The stump seemed to get a little loose, so we will now shove his duck plush in with the hedgehogs to make it a little more challenging. (We tried sticking his rawhide bone in there too, but he scratched his nose trying to get it out, so I wouldn’t recommend that.) This is definitely his favorite new toy, and is also adorable. I’m not sure how long they would last if your dog tends to chew on his toys, but my dog seems more inclined to nibble the fur of his plush toys, and these still look perfect (if pretty slobbery) after a month.The one “negative” is we can never find all three hedgehogs at once, ha. I’m guessing if we searched the couch cushions more often that wouldn’t be a problem.Edit: It’s now been a year and a half, and this toy is still going strong. My dog still plays with it regularly. We’ve thrown it in the wash a couple times, and he’s constantly nibbling the toys, but despite that we have only found a small hole in one of the hedgehogs which was easy to sew up. It’s a great toy.Update: Almost two and a half years, and he still plays with it regularly. None have needed sewing other than that one time either.

Best toy I have gotten for my MinPin. He is 7 years old and absolutely loves to rip these hedgehogs out of their hidey-hole! Must get another set for when he destroys this one. BTW…these are tough, he normally kills the squeaker in minutes, but these are still playing tunes weeks later.

My Dog Loves This Toy
I am always on the hunt for a toy that entertains my very precocious Maltese Havanese mix. For a little dog, heâs quite a ferocious chewer. The log is very well-made and the holes are small enough to keep the toys inside for a little while. Unfortunately, I discovered the hedgehog toys inside the log are not much of a challenge for my dog and easily destroyed. BUT, he loves them so I have bought replacement hedgehogs twice already.

This was one of the first set of squeak toys that was given to our Pom girl. She loves them, and plays with them every day. They last for years. After a while they get raggedy and smelly if outside too much. Then we put them in the washer & dryer, and they survive well – even the squeakers. We get more new ones every couple of years because she likes all the whiskers, but they wear away over time. But we still have almost all of them – 1 got lost.
