Helps take off the extra fur!
I de-flea my kitty with a flea comb every day, and then I use this brush a few times a week to take off any extra fur, and to stimulate his skin. He likes it, it’s soft enough, and it doesn’t hurt him at all. I know he appreciates not having hair balls with this routine, so we thank you very much for a nice brush. The oval head it nice so I can get around his face, and around his body just fine. Nice color, too! Highly recommended.

Gentle and Effective
I was using a furminator brush for years but my dog hated it. Found out it was the wrong kind of brush so I switched to this brush. First time brushing, i got just as much fur as the Furminator but with less effort and less fuss from my golden boy. His fur also looks so nice after using this brush. I highly recommend this brush for double coated dogs
Customer Review –
Great brush for the price!
We love this slicker brush! Our dog is quite the shedder, and this brush really keeps the pet hair down around the house. It’s obviously cheaply made, but for the price it’s hard to beat. We also use a Furminator brush, but those should be used sparingly as to not damage the undercoat. The slicker brush is our daily driver and it does a great job. Our dog doesn’t mind the brushing sessions with the brush. Great value!

Works great
Desheds the dog perfectly and does not pull on him. He will sit and let you do it.

Tough to Get Hair Out
Good brush however after brushing my dogs, the hair is a little tough to get out of the bristles. This brush does the trick but that is the only downfall.

For the little guys
I wanted to give 2* but I’ll take a star of the blame here, since it is clearly intended for smaller dogs & cats, but I tried to cheat and go cheap with this…. Yeah, not for a 45 lb Aussie LOL. My dog laughed at me when I opened the package. Humiliated. (And also only 3* because it’s cheap-ish quality either way, so..)

Works great on my doodle
I like this brush. The bristles are flexible and not too sharp that they would scratch my dogs skin.I just wish that they would make a smaller version, and one with a shorter handle. The size of this brush makes it difficult to groom my small-medium dog.

Not great for thick long-haired pets
I brought home a fluffy English Cream Golden Retriever and this brush won’t get into the hair. I wanted to start grooming at a young age because any Golden Retriever owner knows “tumble hair” will live with you every day and a dog that doesn’t like to be brushed will make matters worse. While it does pull some loose hair out – unless you dig your fingers into the brush to get the hair out the hair is trapped in the bristles. I tried the brush again now that my puppy is 5 months old and her adult fur is coming in and it still disappoints. The bristles don’t get past the top layer of hair and again any loose hair it does pull out is hard to get out of the brush. I tried it on my Frenchies and it does work on them (because they don’t have thick hair), but it is virtually useless when it comes to extracting loose hairs on them. It worked best on my cat’s long thin feathery hair, but again you need to dig out the hair that it does capture. with your fingers. So, if you’re buying this for a cat – it will do a good job as long as you don’t mind extracting hair out of the bristles after, but for a long-haired dog with a thick coat – find another product like Swihauk Self Cleaning Slicker Brush for Dogs & Cats (easy cleaning).Disappointed with this brush and wish I had returned it, but once I used it, I couldn’t get the hairs out of it.

This brush was a good value. Works great on myAustralian Shepherd/Border Collie.Leaves her coat clean and shiny.Does a great job on removing her undercoat. The brush cleans easy when I use a comb to clean out the hair.

Exactly as hoped. For my Australian Shepherd who has sensitive skin as an old dog, this brush is the happy medium of comfort and function. Like typical slicker brushes it efficiently grabs and holds shedding undercoat, but the tiny bit of coating on the tips makes it much more comfortable for the dog. It’s harder to remove the hair from the brush than with a no-coating slicker brush, but not enough so that it’s a real issue, and one could always use a comb to help. I see some of the other reviews having issues of it getting caught on tangles, but I’m finding it great for removing them, so that might be an issue of coat type- check whether a slicker type brush is right for your dog’s coat type before ordering, or look up some grooming videos to be sure you’re using it correctly. If a slicker brush is right for your dog, this one is great.
