really is waterproof and has survived blowouts and bottle dumps. is is soft and has nice padding on it. it is super easy to clean just throw it in the wash. I was rather impressed with the quality of this mattress protector. What is funny is I think a lot of parents forget about this and it isn’t a popular gift because it’s a second thought product but it really should be a first thought. Crib mattresses are really expensive and these are so important to have. it would be a great gift truly.
