Quiet and effective
Bella is an old gal–almost 20 year old cat–with some matted fur. She endures some short bouts of trimming with this device. That might not sound like high praise for it, but it actually is.

A domestic long haired bunny was surrendered to my refuge recently. He is high maintenance with his long fur. He arrived matted and bewildered. I suspect he’s deaf. Named him Barnum, seemed frozen with terror when I put him on his back on a pillow and brushed and cut off the worst of it with scissors, as if he has been rough handled in the past, shaking a leg. I thought a nice quiet kitty shaver would be less stressful for the boy, so ordered this trimmer with all the fix’ns and so glad I did! He is a sweet bunny and trusts me as I coo him with kind words. I was surprised it was so quiet and gentle on his skin. I don’t believe in making an animal stressed for long doing basic health care, but I didn’t have to spend much time to accomplish a big hand full of matted fur. He took it well, even dosed off a time or two. I will do a little every day until I shape him into a poodle, kidding, then periodic trims. The cost was very reasonable and shipping quick. It is light weight on my injured hands to hold and a breeze to clean and charge. Very happy with this product. Barnum says, Thank You. ð

It does a great job on our cats paws and all their long hair. It is not very loud so it doesnât scare them and itâs powerful enough to get threw the long hair.

From a REAL human with a REAL cat ð¤8/22/24: Item arrived undamaged and charged. I expected this to be lightweight and cheap, but it is solid. Very easy to hold and maneuver. Simple to operate and change trimmer attachments. To preface: Our 2 year old, indoor outdoor kitty did NOT like an in home groomer. To be fair, we didnât try the paws, but she freaked out with the body trimmers. So, simple math tells you, we shouldâve never even attempted this. ð It went way better than I expected. Armed with a churu, my boyfriend sat in front of her and was easily able to access her paws. We were only able to get through her front two, (easily by the way) because we ran out of churu. She licks and vacuums. Push it out slower you say? Sheâll bite the foil. Iâll keep this updated as we use it! Itâs a thumbs up for me for now!

The battery doesn’t last long and not for long hair cat. For long hair cat, it’s better to use scissors to trim the hair shorter before shaving.

My cat has very hairy paws so I have always used scissors on her paws. But when I saw this I thought I would give it a try.Before I used them I let her see the clippers and hear the noise. Not loud at all. She is used to me touching and trimming her feet with scissors.You need to go slow and take your time. If you try to go to fast, they don’t trim very well. But if you go slow they work just fine. I was able to get deep between her pads.
