I have 4 cats. One is a bengal, so while the others chase the laser he attacks where it is coming from, usually resulting in the toy being knocked over thus ruining the fun for everyone, this suits both, bengal gets to pounce on the source of the laser, sending it crazy which the others love. With the added weight for it to roll it puts him off stealing it too. Definitely quieter than the last one I tried too. Great for a smaller area and my older cat who wants to lay lazily and bat without moving much, but also great for the younger ones who like to send it crazy, only downside is I think I may need to prepare to buy more as it’s currently being claimed by being sat on like an egg ð¤£

My kitten Isla loves this laser toy.My other half has been really fed up because she spends the first hour of every day running up and down his legs which is wrecking his work pants and his legs. His fault, he turned it in to a bit of a game on her first day here.As soon as I saw her play with this I knew it would be the distraction from his poor shredded legs that she needed. So after an initial test I put it away and told him to get it out after she had been fed this morning. It worked. She will play with this until she falls asleep. She showed no interest in leg running at all.It has been going on and off for a few hours this morning, so the battery is good. I goes into standby when not being played with then reactivates when the cat comes over to play with it. I definitely prefer this to the stand up style of automated laser that my previous cat had. With this, the lazer general points down, but because of the wobble base it goes randomly shoot the laser in different directions as she plays with it.Its 5 stars ask the way from me as I think this is pretty much a perfect little cat toy. Entertaining, wears them out and is funny to watch.

The laser is angled towards the floor, and will spin itself around for your cat to chase. The trick is for the cat to actually see the laser dot and go after it. It took mine a long time to realise it was even there, as he was too focus on getting to the cat nip!If they knock or bat the toy, the laser will swing up and down. This does make it a little harder for them to follow the laser dot, and I am a little concerned at how easy it is for the laser to shine in their eyes. Especially as their face is right up there for most of the play. They seem to enjoy it most when it’s rotating and they’re going after the laser dot (rather than the toy), so I removed the catnip to encourage this.Not sure it’s worth £25, but if I got it for around £15 I’d be happy. Top tip: put it in the bathtub (empty) and it works a treat! Recommended.
