Product Description
This Amplim manual breast pump can collect up to 4 ounces of milk at a time and give you the ability to control the suction it uses. Whether you need to relieve your engorged breast or are in a situation where the power source is not available, this Amplim manual breast pump is designed for you. Not only is this a budget-friendly manual pump, but it’s also super easy to use because it’s one piece. It’s made from 100% soft silicone and all you have to do to attach it to the breast is to squeeze the middle of the bottle, rest your breast in the shield, and release the bottle to create suction, then you just repeat as needed until you’ve sufficiently pumped. This manual breast pump does not have mechanical parts or motors. It only needs your hand to create the suction on the unit to get it to work. Breast pumping should not be painful or too uncomfortable. More suction using an electric pump will not make more milk and can cause breast or nipple damage. The unit is compact, lightweight, easy to travel with, and makes pumping on the go much easier. Perfect for travel and it fits easily in a baby bag. A must-have when on the go and didn’t know if one could find an electrical outlet. Use silently, discreetly, and quickly when needed. Easy to clean with tap or boiling water. The stopper is designed to prevent milk spills.

But is it better than the Medela breast pump?
Visiting my friend who newly had a baby she needed a breast pump. She knows that I used to work at a well-known baby store and worked in the promotions department. I worked with many baby companies including Medela and I’ve learned a lot of breastfeeding and breast pump knowledge. Add on to the fact that I’m a mother myself and took numerous of lactation courses. I’m not saying I’m an expert, but I know a thing or two.I decided to get this breast pump as I was going to be visiting my friend and I knew she needed one. I loved the design and thought of how different it looked from the well-known brands. I won’t lie, I thought at first that it wouldn’t be as effective as the Medela one I had years ago, but when she used it, she loved it. What I loved about it was how easy it was to start. It didn’t feel like we had to put together some car or something difficult, it was easy. Also, what I hated about most manual breast pumps is just the cranking of the handle. It would get annoying. What else is great about this breast pump was how easy it was to clean. Some other manual breast pumps can feel like you have to force parts apart. And when you’re dealing with a newborn, the last thing you need is to fight with your breast pump. Who has the time for any of that?So is this better than the Medela breast pump? I would say it’s neck and neck. Every experience is different but from design and to suction, this breast pump is great.

Hard to use
Iâm a new mom. I was trying to find out whether manual pump works for me or electric pump. It turns out that this one is hard to pump breast milk, and it is not effective. I like using electric pump better than this one.

Miracle worker
I respond SOOO much better to a haaka than a standard pump. I got this to replace the one I lost between pregnancies. It works well, I only have two minor complaints. 1–My old pump had a cover that went over the entire top of the pump to keep it clean and sanitary. This has two plugs to keep the milk from spilling but no cover. The plugs do keep the milk in if it gets knocked over, but they are hallow on the inside so it’s kind of annoying to clean them out. 2–There are only ml measurments on the side of the pump, no ounces. I don’t mark my milk bags in mls so this is a pain to me.Overall, this is a great pump that does its job well so I will deal with the minor inconveniences mentioned above and happily use this little pump.

very portable
This is such a great system – no batteries, no cords or bajillion parts – very straightforward to use and easy to clean. The pump is made out of silicone and are gentle, durable and can be boiled to sanitize. The pump works really well: you have full control of the suction.I appreciate that it comes with an extra stopper.

Gets the job done
I have previously used a Haakaa and this milk saver works very similarly! The silicone seems to be made of the same quality composition, and the suction is great. One feature I liked about my Haakaa was that it had a wider base than this one, which made it less likely to tip over. This model uses a silicone stopper that fits down into the flange and creates an airtight seal. The Haakaa I previously used had a silicone cover that went over the end of the whole flange. I prefer the full cover because it prevented the flange from getting dirty before I had a chance to pour out the milk, or when thrown in a diaper bag between uses. Overall, this model is great if youâre looking for a more simplified, budget friendly alternative to a Haakaa with more features that also comes with a higher price tag.

Perfect for travel
I got this to replace my Haakaa brand one that has gotten all cloudy Over the past year (comparison in second photo). Iâm in the process of weaning my son but I still need to relieve pressure when he doesnât nurse. Weâre going to be going away soon and I donât want to have to bring my electric pump so this is perfect to save space. The suction, size, and design are just like my old one so this is a great alternative for a slightly lower price. The only thing I wish it had was the measurements in oz instead of just ml. The stopper works well to prevent leaks when youâre finished before you can bag or dump the milk.

Almost as good as a haakaa
I got this manual breast pump for my wife and she used it interchangeably with her previously purchased Haakaa branded manual pumps. They are similar in size and weight, but my wife said the Haakaa were a little bit softer. She did enjoy the included stoppers and are a literal “milk saver” since that was one of her complaints about the Haakaa is that it can be knocked over easy. The reason I took a star off was that the Amplim pumps seemed to pop off occasionally and the Haakaa do not. There are many factors that may be causing it but she followed the directions so it may be breast shape, size, or the stiffness of the silicone.
