Really good product!
I bought this because I absolutely couldn’t find the de-sheddind comb I’ve had for a while. It turned up a day before this one arrived – and I’m so happy I didn’t send it back!This is an awesome comb. The angle makes it easy to hold, though when my dog won’t turn around (wanting me to brush him from the front), the ability to detach the handle is super handy.I have a large lab with a pretty good undercoat, which means he sheds every day of the year, and twice a day in the spring and fall. Not combing him at least a couple times a week results in chocolate lab fuzz all over the house!The teeth of this comb seem finer than those of my old comb, and they get right in and pull up the fine hairs. Hershey TOTALLY loves it, asks would happily let me brush him all day long with this thing.I wasn’t sure about the plastic cover when I ordered. It acts like the cover on a safety razor – except there’s no way to hurt yourself putting it back on. It clicks on and off fairly easily, but fits snugly. It certainly guarantees the teeth won’t get tangled in anything in the junk drawer.I would definitely buy this again. But I’m going to make a better effort at keeping Hubby from misplacing it. Did I mention whose junk it was found in? Just sayin’.

I have No Dogs, But Do Have Cats and Couldn’t Live Without This!!
So I know this is for combing dogs and removing the excess fur off their coats. I do NOT have a dog – I have 2 cats and I do comb them regularly with a cat comb. So why do I need this? Well I use it to comb the fur off of their cat trees! I saw this hack on a youtube video and tried it for myself. It really works. This easily removes fur from their cat condo and carpeted scratch posts. Try it and you’ll never go back.

Works great for undercoat only….
This shedding brush does work great at getting the undercoat out however, it doesn’t really get the top layer of fur so after each stroke of the brush I have to pet my dog to get away all the fur on the top that the brush didn’t pick up. It was little disappointing because that is the hair that is on my clothing and everywhere else. Also with how the brush is made and how you have to use it if your dog has short fur instead of long fur the brush can hurt your dog’s skin if the brush is at the wrong angle. I also noticed a little bit of a tug with some strokes where I guess the hair was maybe a little tangled or stuck together, and I could tell my dog could feel it because his head would snap back at me like ow, what was that. I have a lab mix whose coat varies in length so I am only able to use this brush on her longer areas of fur. I also have two chihuahua’s, one with a long coat and the other with a very short coat and I can’t even use it on the short coat one because there is no undercoat really for it to grab and this brush isn’t really made for the top layer of fur. So I would suggest at using something else to brush your dog if he/she has a short coat. It does say it works best after a bath but I have not had the opportunity to give my dog a bath then brush him with this brush. This brush does work well however I might look around a little bit more and see if I could find a brush that get both the top and bottom coat of fur.

Best brush!
I love this slicker brush. We use it daily and my Goldendoodle stays mat free!! It leaves hair silky, is easy to grip, and cleans up with a swipe of a comb. A slicker is a must for doods and the price point on this one makes it a fantastic deal! I will definitely purchase again.

Best fur remover!
This works well for all different breeds- weâve used it on German shepherds, golden retrievers, NSD Tollers, and long haired border collies. It gets the top fur and the undercoat, eliminating shedding around the house.

Read a lot of reviews saying it worked great, and it did, for a regular brush. It gets a decent amount of loose hair out and I do like that it stays much cleaner than your average household brush. As for sheer fur removal power I was very underwhelmed. I have a great pyrenees mountain dog/ lab mix who sheds a LOT and I’ve been through the wringer with many different brushes and spending hours in the yard brushing off more hair than what I believed could even be on his body and could never significantly decrease the amount of hair that would end up on the furniture. When I came across this “deshedding” tool and its amazing reviews I thought I had finally won. As you can imagine my reaction when I opened it up and removed only a small neatly packed clot of hair after a couple stokes and had to pluck it out to continue. It IS a study tool that cleanly takes off hair, any length, and stays clean and comfortable for your dog. However do not be fooled by the “Deshedding” title of this tool as it is nothing more than a neat comb.If anyone recommends a better deshedding tool that will get the job done let me know!

No gimmicks, it really works (and keeps working!)
Update 2/7/17: I returned to buy this product for my mom’s dogs. I’ve had it for over 2 years now and I still love it! Original price was $5 more than it is now listed and I would pay twice that and then some. One of my dogs, a Shepard pit mix, is especially charmed by this brush and runs with delight when she sees me take it out. She is a bit… fat… these days, so I need to work within her rolls and the brush is really great for that. I haven’t had to replace the blade and I wash it with soap and water. Handle is still very comfortable and has not dried or chipped. I also use it every time we return from the woods and it takes out unattached ticks like magic. Love, love, love!Original review: I read through dozens of reviews before purchasing and I’m so, so glad I did. This brush is terrific! Does exactly what it says it will; decreased my dogs’ shedding, improved their coats and made the experience of brushing relaxing and enjoyable, versus stressful and annoying (more an issue for me). It’s become a routine for us now and the dogs sit patiently while I groom their coats. The brush has a durable handle and strong blade. Really well made product.

My English Cocker Spaniel has very fine fur that mats easily. She also is sensitive to how our grooming time goes. Not one to endure long sessions at a groomerâs , so I do short sessions frequently. So happy she loves the feel of this slicker brush and lies back on the floor to feel itmassaging her skin. Very happy to be brushed and am amazed at all the undercoat the brush picks up. Also works great with mats, a slow and easy brushing which she tolerates well. Much better than trying to scissor cut the mats. Very pleased it has added to making our grooming times pleasant and productive.Will definitely be ordering again!! Thank you!
