Very durable for aggressive chewers.
I will preface this by saying I tried to go the “better for teeth” route. Our dog (70 lb american staffordshire terrier) could rip a nice pile of itty bitty pieces off “the most durable” kong toy in five minutes. He loves textures and will shred anything we give him into little pieces. This offers an outlet, though I am aware they can break some dogs’ teeth. One bone lasts him…2-3 months before it gets too short for his mouth (5-ish inches). He chews them into lovely points (“shanks”) because his favorite thing to do is chew it from all directions so he can rub the nubs on all parts of his teeth/gums. Keeps him entertained and happy and prevents him from trying to chew other things. Highly recommend, with the caveat that I’ve heard vets warn against these because some dogs’ teeth won’t stand up to chewing these, and that can result in a VERY expensive tooth extraction.

The only dog bones that I have ever purchased! They are safe for the dogs to chew, and they last for a long time. Be sure to throw them away when they get too pointy.

I have a yellow lab and a puppy and we have several of these bones. Some are several years old as they chew with them and then forget them until the next time they see them. LOL Love these for inside and outside- best you can spend money on for sure–HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great toy, but don’t step on it!
I have two very big chewers in my house, -a Rottweiler and a Pitbull. They destroy toys so quickly it makes my head spin! We’ve tried brands like kong, but even most of their toys don’t last very long.I had heard good things about Nylabones so I decided to give them a try. They last much longer then the average toys we had been purchasing. The dogs have loved every flavor we have bought and could spend all day knawing on them. We had to buy two so that the two dogs didn’t have to share! They last us about 3 or 4 months, which in my opinion is very good for a dog toy if you have tough chewers.That being said, the reason they don’t last longer for us, is because they end up turning into a “shank” as my husband refers to them haha. They get pretty jagged and rough after about a week or 2 of chewing and after a couple months turn into little sharp and pointy daggers. That’s when we toss them. My husband and I don’t mind them when they are rough after a bit of chewing, we just try not to let them rub up against our legs with the bone, and try not to step on them… we haven’t found that the toughness hurts the dogs at all but worry when it gets smaller and sharper.In the end I would definitely recommend this toy to a serious chewer, but with reservation. I don’t think it would be very safe if you had a baby or young child around. As long as there are no youngins and you are willing to watch where you step, it’s a great toy! I will keep repurchasing.

Stands up to even agressive chewing
My Great Danes love these. They can eventually get them to a raggedy state, needing to be replaced, but they last longer than any other chew. Even BullyMake doesn’t stand up like these do. Highly recommend, no matter your dog’s chewing level.
