Misleading description
Let me just stress that this is not a swaddle in any form, it’s a sleep sack only. This runs true to size and washes well in washer with gentle soap and medium dry. I really like that the zipper is available to be unzipped on the bottom for easy, diaper changing access. Not sure about the material on inside yet.

Nice and Warm
There is a lot to like and appreciate in this sleep sack: its obvious warmth, the handy, full length zipper that allows changing a diaper without (hopefully) awakening the baby, the width of the lower half of the garment which provides ample room for leg stretching and movement, the soft outer fabric and the cuddly quilted fleece lining. The description says, both, that it is machine washable and that it should be hand-washed. It, also, says that it should not be tumble dried. Being that it is 100% cotton and polyester, I didn’t see any reason for not machine washing it on gentle and drying it on delicate. So, I did just that and it turned out beautiful.I am surprised and disappointed in the choice of fabric used on the interior of the sleep sack, that which is closest to the baby’s skin. It is smooth, but there are many grades of cotton that are so much more silky to the touch than that which was used. The exterior is so very pleasant to touch, I am left wondering why the important interior is less so. Perhaps after it is washed and tumble dried many times, it, too, will become more like the exterior.

Silky outside, less so inside.
This Lictin Baby Sleeping Bag is a nice, sleeveless item suitable for gift giving. The muted blue piping is a nice touch and the muted part makes it suitable for girls as well as boys as it is a nice color. It is lovely and silky on the outside and not quite as soft on the inside, although it is by no means rough. Baby will be plenty comfortable, it was just an interesting decision by the manufacturers.This says that it is for rooms about 59-69 degrees Fahrenheit. I like that it gives the baby’s legs room to move to ensure proper hip development.The zip is dual-direction and baby can be changed without rousing too much, but can open from the top when dressing. The top of the zip is nicely covered with a cloth encasement. The product is well finished.The instructions inside do come with a list of warnings, however, such as do not use it if the baby can climb out of the cot and not to use it in conjunction with other bedding. Make sure the neck and arm openings are securely fastened and do not use if the child’s head can pass through the neck openings when fastened for use.

Cozy warm!

Had to do a little research before ordering this and I learned that TOG stands for Thermal Overall Grade and is a measurement used to indicate how warm a garment is. Many baby sleepers are 1.0 TOG, which is best for room temperature 68-75 degrees. I was looking for a winter sleeper as we keep our house cool in winter and 2.5 TOG is best for room temperature of 61-68 degrees, which is just about right for us. The sleep sack came vacuum packed into a small, solid brick, but, when I cut it out, it expanded well and had no odor. I will wash and dry it to plump it up a little more and I think it will be just perfect on these colder nights. My only negative (not worth losing a star) is that it is not packaged in a pretty box and the design is not that pretty to me. I don’t think it would make a nice gift, but I do think it will keep the baby warm, which is what we need.

I really do like this sleep sack for my newborn. I do feel like this is closer to 1 to 3 months even though it is the smallest size. It is a little large on my son and he’s about 9 pounds. So I think this is perfect for a 1 to 3 month old child. It’s quilted but it’s not overly thick which is nice because I don’t have to worry about him over heating. It’s washed really well, I haven’t had any issues with toy shrinking. I love that it has the zipper on the bottom so you can do diaper changes without removing the entire sleep sack. Overall a good product for a baby especially if your baby prefers sleep sacks over swaddles. Great to keep them warm with just a sleeper underneath.

This baby sleep sack is wonderful! It’s soft, warm, and keeps my baby comfortable all night. I love that it’s safer than loose blankets and keeps my little one cozy throughout the night. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the fabric could be a bit thicker for colder months, but it’s still a great product.
