I recently rescued a cat while camping and the carrier I was forced to buy to get him home just wasn’t quite big enough to continue to use and be comfortable for him while traveling any distance at all. Decided to get a new one, and I opted for this one, cause the Army green with the orange accents just seems to fit my boy and our camping adventures. It is very rugged and heavy duty, and I love the way the top and side expands so he’ll have more room to move around a bit while traveling in the back of my SUV. It’s not designed to carry with the side expanded, not enough support. I can carry him with the top expanded, but sometimes it might be necessary to take the top down and that’s a little tricky. I don’t like the way it fits inside the carrier if you just collapse it, it crowds him. So I tuck it around and under the pad in the bottom of the carrier, and that works better, but if you have a cat that likes to escape while you’re taking the time to do that, make sure you’re in a safe place. The unidentified silicone pad appears to work well as a support/floor to the side when it’s folded out, either folded over for just the side or opened up for the full floor. The pad in the bottom is what gives the carrier support, so I’ll probably leave it in there all the time, but may remove it for longer travel and use just the silicone with a towel over it in case of accidents (which unfortunately does happen occasionally). I’ll have to work all that out over time. The thing I’m not crazy about is the leash/shoulder strap. Very awkward to use and get to the correct length for over the shoulder carry, and I don’t need a leash anyhow so I will just remove it and use the shoulder strap from the old carrier. I also don’t care for all the tiny buckles on the zippers, but my cat stays put with no issues, so not necessary, but may be great for escape artists. I personally would rather have nylon than metal zippers and they seem a little stiff, but hopefully a little wax will take care of that. I’m sure metal is more secure for a bigger cat or a small dog. Not sure how I feel about the carry handles yet and whether or not the included strap cover makes it better or worse, but a very nice touch that they include one. Also the collar and treat bag is nice, I may not need either of those for those intended purposes but can easily repurpose them for other uses. All in all I am very happy with the quality and attention to detail with this carrier. They really tried to think of everything and it’s just so darn cool looking too! Glad to have it for our outdoor adventures! Recommend!

Works great, looks cool
The quality is fantastic, and I have no concerns about premature wear and tear. Although generally easy to use—it’s a cat carrier—all of the pieces that come with it aren’t clearly explained. I, however, am very happy with what I have figured out. The only thing I’m not crazy about is that the top pop out doesn’t fold back in easily and takes up a lot of interior space. I figure I should be fine keeping it popped out though. I wanted quality which I got, but it also looks cool. Even my vet complimented it!

Feels very high quality
I really love this carrier for my cat it fits 2 of my cats in the bag. And the design is awsome for good weather they can see outside and its super breathable. It also has some headspace which is awesome and most carriers dont have.
