The little sound machine that can’t figure out what it is
Someone got pretty creative with this little speaker, undecided if it should be a white noise machine, a Bluetooth speaker, or a TF card (does anyone still use these regularly?) player. It does them all ok, just not great on any one.As a sound machine, they took every sound they could come up with and threw it into here…a trend that annoys me as finding just the right one becomes painful.As a speaker, it’s…ok. It’s a mini speaker and the quality is what you tend to get out of mini speakers.I like that it’s rechargeable, but admittedly I tend to use these plugged in so I can’t comment on battery life.As a small mini travel white noise machine (my true purpose in getting this), it’s serviceable, compact, and makes it possible to bring along in a ‘personal item’ bag when travelling. On top of that, the price is decent for what you get. If you want just a white noise machine though, I think others offer a little better implementation…but if you value having a mini speaker and everything else this one combines, I haven’t seen anything else that checks all those boxes!

I am really glad I got this. I was drawn by the small size which spoke to me for portability. Our family likes to travel and camp in our RV and sometimes we visit my wife’s out of state family for the weekend and some holidays in which I bring my toiletry bag and a smaller tote which I bring along my medications, wallet, and chargers etc. I like to have the ceiling fan going and the TV when I fall asleep and unfortunately their spare bedroom and hotels alike don’t usually have a fan and while hotels have TV’s the guest room at my in-laws does not.This little device has a great sound albeit lacking in the bass a bit but the sound selection is great and it retains the last sound when turning on and off! I like how small it is and can be used with a small compact flash card and also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. It has an internal rechargeable battery which uses USB-C and can be used while plugged in or off the battery.It has a small wrist lanyard pre-attached and if using the timer mode has an indicator LED which is on the bottom and down facing but at night if the lights are off give a low glow of the color. The only thing I might add to it would be a color ring on the bottom to glow in the room.Operation is very simple. Hold On/Off for a few seconds to turn on, quick press On/Off to switch over to Speaker mode which also acts as a temporary mute when not attached to a streaming device. Quick press + or – to increase or decrease the volume or hold + or – for about 2 seconds to switch between the pre-installed sounds. When you reach the first sound going backwards using long press of – or reach the last sound using long press of + it plays a tone which is different for each. Wow! I am completely blown away by this travel sound machine
I love having white noise while I sleep. At home, I just use my Echo Show on my nightstand. However, I’ve grown so accustomed to white noise that I don’t sleep as well without it when I’m not home. I’ve tried a number of portable sound machines in my quest to find the best one.Last month I was traveling with my dad for two weeks, and I took my best (at the time) portable sound machine. It made a world of difference for blocking out street noise and slamming hotel doors. The biggest drawback to the device I was using then was that it wasn’t very loud, so I had to have it near my head to get the full effect. But my dad liked it so much that I decided to keep my eyes open for another one.This caught my attention because it was the smallest that I’ve ever seen. I was pretty sure the sound quality was going to be terrible and tinny, but I still had to give it a try.I don’t know why, after seeing the listing pictures, but I was still surprised at how very small this device is! It is half the size of the sound machine I took on my trip. The sound quality was on par with the others I’ve tried. It doesn’t sound as good as my Echo Show, but it’s perfectly adequate for white noise. I would never choose to use this as a bluetooth speaker to play music, but I haven’t actually tried it either. (This device does have that option.) The volume range on this is impressive. This sound machine wouldn’t have to be on my nightstand in order for me to hear it, it’s so loud.This offers 30 sounds to choose from, so I think most everyone could find something they like. I really only care for nature sounds, and I’m quite partial to sounds involving water like rain or ocean waves. This has 7 sounds that I really like, which is a much larger selection than I get on most sound machines. Finally, this packs a pretty impressive battery, despite it’s small size. I can’t find anything that indicates how much time we should expect from this. But I have this running all night and often forget to turn it off right away. (I run nature sounds on my Echo all day long so my dogs don’t notice and bark at every little sound.) I seem to be getting 2-3 nights out of this before having to recharge. I could get 2 fairly short nights out of the device I last traveled with before I had to charge it – and it had a lot more room for the battery.As you can see, I really couldn’t be any happier about this little travel sound machine. It’s everything I need, plus I could just throw it in my purse or toiletry bag since it’s so small. But the last thing that surprised me about this is how reasonably priced it is. As of this writing, it’s $19.99 plus a 10% off coupon. I’m positively stunned that this is under $20, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

This tiny portable sound machine is wonderful for traveling, or if you just need some white noise to help you focus or relax. It also has a Bluetooth speaker capability, which is the first time Iâve seen that with a sound machine. It holds a charge pretty well, lasted through the night. Overall super convenient and useful!
