This is your well-known Nuby and comes with all the things that you expect from the name. It is durable and dishwasher safe which is really important with keeping things clean for the little ones. I daresay this can withstand dropping on the floor without the lid popping off and the contents spilling everywhere. Having the suction at the bottom so that it stays put is a bonus. Kids will move things around inadvertently as they try and adapt to touching things on the plate. They have to learn dexterity and this will help them as they figure out that process of peeling and touching. The colors also make this gender-neutral so it makes for a great gift

Works too well
I hate to say it, but these plates work TOO well. I cannot get them to come up from the surface on the first, second, and sometimes third try. I would be extremely impressed if a toddler somehow figured out how to pry one of these up! They are easy to clean, survived my dishwasher, and even come with a cover so when your baby decides to only eat 1/10 of his meal, you can try again at dinner. Highly recommend these plates if you have a little one who likes to test gravity!

Dishwasher safe
These shallow bowl/plates are a great upgrade from others we’ve used in the past. They feature four suction cups on the bottom to keep them securely in place on the table, and each one comes with a convenient lid. The fact that they’re top-rack dishwasher safe is a huge time-saver, especially when you’re managing dishes for a family. While we still hand wash the lids, it only takes a few moments. Our toddler doesn’t need the suction feature anymore, but we’re happy to use them for our baby during self-feeding. The size is perfect for babies through toddlerhood, though the sections might seem a bit small for older kids. Overall, they’re a practical and well-designed option for meal times.

4 separate suction cups make these stick, but they do slide around
Our 14-month-old son is loving to lift (and throw or turn upside down) his plate these days, so my wife and I were happy to give these suction plates a try to see if they might be helpful in preventing such episodes. In short, they do function as they should (to a certain extent), but our kiddo has found a new way to still separate these plates from our dining table, which buys us some additional time to stop him, but does not totally prevent the messy episodes.The plate, at least in our mind, is well-designed, with the 4 separate suction cups proving to be much more effective compared to others that we have tried in the past. The problem is that while the plate doesn’t get lifted off the table, it still does allow sliding horizontally, and our son has learned that he can slide the plate off the edge of the table to remove the suction. This does buy us some additional time to spot this action and try to get him to stop, but there have been instances in which we have been distracted enough that he has successfully removed these plates from the table.I would say that for those who use one of those high chair trays with raised edges, this product will probably work perfectly (as you can’t really slide them off). For families like us, where we serve them directly from the same dining table (with no edge), this is mostly likely only partially helpful.The overall quality of the silicone plate is also very nice – like we have come to expect out of the Nuby brand. Everything is also dishwasher safe, making clean up afterwards a breeze.
