No fancy toys needed!
Do you know what my dog’s favorite play toy is? A piece of hemp rope with a big knot in it! I chose hemp because it is a naturally occurring fiber – i.e. is not plastic or fiberglass or who knows what – I figured if he was going to chew something up, might as well have it based on a plant rather than plastic! No issue swallowing any of the fibers in other words. We play tug-of-war with it just about every evening and it has stood up well. I’m not afraid of him ingesting any of the fibers as I would be if it were made of plastic or nylon. I’m pleased with my purchase, and my dog Ozzie thinks so, too – or at least I think that’s what he thinks! (He’s probably wishing I’d get off my rear and play some more!)

They started falling apart after minutes of chewing and did not digest. My dogâs feces were stuck hanging from her butt and I had to pull a large string out of her.

This review is for the Generic pure natural hemp rope dog toys.The Good: It’s hemp, which is safer for your dogs. The pups go wild for these.The Bad: Indestructible? I beg to differ.The Ugly: My home after they played with them for an hour.The Long Review: These toys are made from natural hemp, which is great, because it’s much safer for your dogs than cotton or polyester ropes. However, while it’s claimed these are “for aggressive chewers” and “indestructible” – I’m going to disagree, strongly!My pups are Australian Shepherd and Poodle Mix (Aussie-Doodles) and they love to sink their teeth into things – especially these ropes! I really think they enjoy the mouth feel, and the natural hemp most likely helps scrub their teeth really well too.However…within one hour of playing with these toys indoors…my home looked like something out of the wild west. Little hemp tumbleweeds were everywhere, there was hemp dust on the floor scattered about, and one of the ropes had already lost 3 strands from enthusiastic chewing. No, they’re not indestructible, they’re not great for aggressive chewers (mine are moderate chewers and they tore these things apart. A seriously aggressive chewer would have them as a snack in a few hours’ time), but they are a healthy alternative to other types of tug toys.Final Thoughts: Overall, the price wasn’t horrible for what you get. However, I would recommend these as OUTDOOR ONLY toys, or you will face the most horrific pile of hemp garbage your home has ever seen – you have been warned!3 stars only because when you say “for aggressive chewers” and dare to use the word “indestructible” – you better mean it, because my pups will challenge those claims.

Strong and better rope
Totally satisfied with this product. My dogs have been using different ropes to play but this one really felt stronger. The topmost idea particularly Is that it is made with real HEMP which naturally lasts longer than anything else. So yeah, loved it and my dogs are already in love with it. Lasted less than 8 minutesâ¦
He loved it! For about 8 minutes. Then it was nothing but strands of hemp ALL OVER THE PLACE. I swept it all up, tossed it back in the box, and returned it. Not meant for any dog that chews. Or plays. Or moves or breathes heavily. 🙁
