Taghelpâs Waterproof Airtag Cat Collar Breakaway with QR Code- what a great idea! I have an indoor only cat, but he sometimes goes to stay at his grandmaâs whoâs on the ground floor. Even though heâs microchip and isnât too likely to run away, she wouldnât be very good at catching him or preventing him from escaping. For peace of mind I got this collar just in case.The AirTag fits easily in the silicone holder and has a pretty sturdy plastic cover to shield it from water and scratches, the tabs fit nicely to secure it in (see my photo). It says this collar is for cats and kittens and my cat is fairly large at 12 pounds and very long hair and the collar had more than enough length that I had to tighten it a bit.The QR code was very easy to set up. Scan it for the first time with your phone and sign up for an account. Tip: when filling out your email, donât let your phone auto populate it. You have to type it in for the page doesnât load for some reason. It sends you a verification code to your email to make the account. Once you sign in, you can add a few photos of your cat and it takes you through a form to add all kinds of info like name, birthdate, breed, weight, even characteristics like friendly. You also add your contact info, address, phone number, and a second contact phone number. You can even add medical history, microchip number, what vet or pet store he visits. And you can select from some pre-written messages that are pretty cute such as, âif you find me outside I wandered a little too far! Please contact my familyâ¦â etc. There are also some privacy features where you can turn on or off whether you want the info you put in to show. For example I didnât include medical history, but I did include my address. The app and company say that this will be free forever and I hope they never take it down. Itâs such a great idea even if your pet is micro chipped!If someone scans the QR code theyâll see the profile of your pet (see my photo) with the photo that youâve chosen, and it immediately prompts the person to share their location. Even if they say no, thereâs a button for them to call you on the page. Thereâs also a location button and if they click it, theyâll be prompted again to send the owner of the pet their location.Even if you have an AirTag and you can track where your pet went itâs nice to know if somebody nice finds your pet and curiously scans the QR code that theyâll be able to contact you right away. For the price I think this is great peace of mind for any pet that might get outside without you. of course, since itâs for a cat, it is a breakaway collar, which means if your cat gets into a pickle, the collar could come off, but I donât see any way around that without sacrificing the safety of your pet. still a good thing to have.

This was quick and easy to set up the QR code webpage with contact info and kitty details. I tested scanning it with my phone later and it worked like a charm. If you get a second collar (from the same company), you can even clone your other petâs page and modify it, so you donât need to start from scratch entering all the same contact info. Very easy.I added an Apple Air tag to the collar, as a way to actively find our kitty if they escape. The reflective stripe is good for car headlights and flashlights. The bell is handy, too.I was concerned that our kitty might not like it because of the airtag size, but they adjusted really quickly and donât seem to mind much. It is removable if needed. The collar is also breakaway, if they get caught on something. Kittyâs scratching doesnât remove it, though.These give us peace of mind knowing we can find our kitty if they accidentally sneak out when weâre entering and exiting the house. And the QR code should keep neighbors from just turning them in to a pound if they escape.I highly recommend this collar.

Works well for travel
My cat wonât normally wear a collar, so I knew going in with this that it wouldnât be a longer term solution. But the collar is rather soft and minimal for travel, and does have stretchy gummy-style straps for keeping an AirTag secure. Prior to leaving for the airport, I put this on my cat and surprisingly she didnât immediately try to take it off. It kept secure the entire flight and transport to and from the airport, and didnât drive her crazy trying to get it off throughout. Given you have to take the cat out of the carrier to go through security, this gave an additional peace of mind in case she ran that I could find and get her quickly. Iâm very happy with how this worked out for the trip and glad to have it for the return trip. Great solution for my cat and me.

This cat collar is perfect for those cats that like to roam the neighborhood. It hold a air tag which is also fun to watch all the places my cat visits and explores. The air tag is sold separately. Looks like it feels so comfortable. Looks great on my black cat. Easy to under the QR code app. So easy to scan the QR code and see all the important information about my fur baby. Great collar for a cat or small dog.

When I was getting my cat a new collar I was thinking, WHY all the long text and numbers and address and phone number …. it’s a LOT for cat tag. My cat has TWO just to hold all the data. I thought, I should convert all this to a QR code, setup a website, etc. Then I stumbled across this collar! Perfection, as if they read my mind!This QR code is assigned to the collar and when we went to the website, it allowed us to place our information in so if our cat gets lost, the person that finds him can scan the code with their phone and get our little greeting plus contact info. NICE!But they do go a step further, and while technically this is two tags on the collar, having an Apple AirTag attached, that’s a good thing!It’s lightweight and my cat doesn’t mind it.Has a bell, so I can find the lil bugger when he’s sneaking about.It is the standard break-away collar should he get snagged on anything.It is reflective should he be out in the dark.This is a really great collar, made awesome by the QR code inclusion.

Not really for petite kittens – maybe medium kitties, Airtag holder isn’t the most compact
This is an attractive cat collar with a reflective ribbon. It is relatively thin, so more suitable for smaller pets. However, with the two circular items – the Airtag holder and the QR code, it is a little large for smaller kittens. I have a 5 month old kitty and she is relatively petite. This collar is a little too big for her now, but I’m sure she will grow into it. I like the QR code database. The AirTag holder is a little larger than some other collar holders.
