Family –
Lightweight, plastic buckles, thin nylon not for all-day wear
I’m giving it 5 stars because I do think it was advertised correctly and it appears to be a decent quality item. My review is sort of a mixed bag though, and this might or might not work for your dog and here is why : It seems to be sewn well. I don’t feel any sharp edges where it touches my dogs skin. My dog has a neck injury and we purchased this to be able to help her hold steady, as they do not make a lift that works with her body type. (She doesn’t need a lot of physical support, it’s more of a comfort measure that she knows we are with her when she walks on slick floors during her recovery.) She is a Great Dane that has a very deep chest and slender build, like a very large grayhound. Her chest is 36 inches around just behind her front legs and the xl size harness loosened out to fit her well. We are using this in conjunction with a Loobani dog sling (also purchased on Amazon) for her rear legs until she regains a regular more confident gait. She will be unable to wear a collar in the future so this will be used for supervised outings, mostly just for identification purposes and short walks. That being said, I think it will work for us and what we need it for BUT it is not by any means heavy duty. It is lightweight and would not be suitable for everyday all-day wear. It would take my dog one chomp to get through it if she felt like it and wasn’t supervised. The nylon is strapping is thin and I have to imagine it would not last very long if used all-day every day. The one thing I do not like at all about this harness is that the buckles are plastic. I knew this going in, but there are not a lot of double H harness options for large dogs in our price range. If my dog felt better and suddenly decided to pull, I’m not 100% sure that this could restrain a dog of her size. It’s just not heavy enough and I can’t trust the plastic buckles. It would probably be perfect for a less stout dog like a grayhound or another thin bodied deep chested breed but it’s like they didn’t scale up the strength of the materials to the strength of the size of the dog they are trying to secure. The hardware that snaps to a leash on her back is metal and well made. I do like that the strap farthest down her back is removable. It made the whole thing much easier to adjust. ***Update*** 6 months later and it is still going strong. My dog has regained the majority of her mobility back and is now able to pull, sometimes pretty hard. I was initially concerned with the strength of the harness not being enough for her but I do trust it now to hold her. I think the way her weight is distributed when she wears it causes the majority of her pulling weight to be distributed to the metal fittings and the plastic ones are only used in the areas of lower stress. It has held up very well. ***Final Update*** with our occasional light use, it lasted almost 3 years. The place that has given out was one of the plastic strap length adjusters on the main neck loop. She can still wear it but I don’t feel like it is secure enough to trust at this point.

game changer for escape artists
I just got this for my 9 month old chi/ jackmix. This has dead stopped his ability to escape.Here are a few things I love about this harness:* It works !!!My dog would jump and pullback out of every other harness I bought. THIS harness stopped the escaping.* Itâs very close fitting to the body and not at all bulky. I feels itâs great for summer weather as very little of the body is covered.* Has almost completely stopped the pulling too!Some thoughts:,Measure your dog with a soft tape measure. Getting the right size seems vital.* At first I admittedly felt overwhelmed with the 3 sets of buckles. You only need to â size â them up the first time. They stay in place on the dog.Quibbles :The buckles are a clear plastic. While not flimsy , I fear the buckles yellowing.In closing :This harness is a game changer for my dog and I.PRO TIP : use a carabiner to attach the harness and collar together ⦠if the dog escapes the harness you still have the leash attached to the collar

Sturdily made, easy to fit
This minimal harness i(compared to others like it) is sturdy and well made. It was easy to fit on our dog and he seems comfortable with it on. Highly recommended.

Tripod approved!
After an accident, our 60lb American Bully mix had to have her front leg amputated last summer and I was worried about finding a harness that would stay. Our vet told us about the adventure style harness, which we had no idea was a thing. After looking at several types, for the cost, this seemed like the best option that was on the cheaper side, but seemed durable. After receiving it, the first thing I did was have her try it on. The measurements seem accurate and the only thing I wish was different was the clips. While the clips seem durable and made thick, eventually I know I will probably have to replace because of breakage because they are in fact plastic and not metal like our old harness was. Other than than, it survived our first jog outside after 6 months of recovery and lots of pulling and tugging from an overly excited pup that is happy to go on walks again!

Almost perfect
This is a size large on our 47 lb Shiba Inu. It fits perfectly and our little Houdini cannot escape from it. The only thing off with it is the one small strap (seen on the close up photo) that does not show the red design. It bugs me, but is strictly just looks, and the function is great. We’ve only had it for 10 days so far, so I really can’t speak to the durability yet.

Zero escapes-this harness is FANTASTIC!
I have an escape artist and a puller. This is the very first harness that has solved both problems. For my escape artist who could get out of anything else I’ve ever tried—not anymore! It’s the fit and the extra strap past the rib cage that does the trick. He can’t get out of it and now knows any attempt would be futile. My puller has calmed down because when she does pull, her body turns sideways and she stops. Again, the excellent adjustability and fit of this harness along with the extra strap makes it superior. I have zero complaints. Our walks are now so much more enjoyable because the bad behaviors have been curbed immensely and my confidence in controlling (and keeping!) my animals is excellent! Thank you for your awesome product.

A must have Doggy accessory
Very durable, adjustable and comfortable. My Dog can not wiggle out of this harness. Great for camping and long walks. I get a lot of questions and comments from others while out exploring. I highly recommend.
