An enhanced stacking challenge!
This set of wooden stacking rocks offers a fun way to turn simple block stacking into a much more challenging game. These ended up being a great fit for my daughter. She loves collecting rocks from the yard, and the brightly colored rock shapes included in this set were immediately appealing to her. She likes to sort them, get a sense for the different shapes, and of course stack them.Compared to regular blocks, the increase in challenge here is significant. In addition to requiring a sense of balance, the shapes have relatively small surfaces that require pretty precise placement to create a stack that doesn’t collapse right away. It’s a fun challenge that (as you might expect) will be more difficult for younger kids, but remains challenging for older kids.The blocks are well produced, with smooth surfaces and vibrant colors. The paint seems to hold up, despite the blocks being knocked around with use – I haven’t noticed any chipping or similar.Ultimately, these are easy to recommend as a way to increase the challenge of stacking blocks in a visually appealing and engaging manner.

Great toy for my 2 year old
My toddler loves stacking thing and has so much fun with these. The size makes it perfect for fine motor skills. And I like the verity of colors so we can work on learning.

Very disappointed
Blocks came inside a plain, cardboard box. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift and Iâm so disappointed. No card, no directions or messaging. Just blocks in a plain box. Seems cheap for what I paid.

I got these on a whim and, to my surprise, my kids have decided this is one of their favorite toys now. All four love to stack and create things with these and they get played with so much that we are actually getting a second set.

Fun building toy
These wooden blocks have a nice smooth texture. Some pieces are small so I would not recommend for children under the age of 4. The different shapes allow children to create varied structures and the colors are quite nice. This is the perfect toy for STEM building challenges.

Not appropriate for todders, Better for an older kid
So, let’s start with the good: I really liked the shapes, the quality of the wood, the weight of the blocks, and the vivid colors. These looked cool!My toddler liked the shapes and the colors… for about five minutes before she lost interest because they were too hard to actually stack. The irregular shapes and small size meant that they took a lot of dexterity to stack or balance, more than she has at 2.5. And I was fine with that because after taking a good look at some of them, I realized they were a pretty wretched choking hazard. They’re small enough that they could be swallowed length-wise. (See the picture in my review, with a quarter for scale.)I may keep the larger ones but those smaller ones are going right in the bin. My kid isn’t much for putting things in her mouth, but with these almost looking like candy it’s not a risk I’m willing to take. Maybe an older kid would like them, particularly for fantasy games like being a dragon’s treasure. But they’re not appropriate for toddlers, no matter what the name says.
