Would be great if there was a lock option
Almost perfect, take my pup to the beach all the time so loved the idea of not carrying a leash but when we are in the neighborhood I need an option to stop her quickly if a dog lunches at her or something dangerous. The extendable leash doesnât have this so we donât really use it anymore

I use this harness when my dog accompanies me horseback riding. We get to the trails riding on roads where she has got be on leash, but on the trails she can run off-leash. She isn’t tall enough for me to reach her to leash and unleash horseback, but grabbing the handle of this built-in flex leash works well. I am not a fan of regular flex leashes, I think they are quite dangerous the way many people use them, because they can entangle and cut people and animals easily and often don’t allow the handler to control the dog when it is needed. However, this one has the perfect length for my dog to safely trot along next to the horse but not long enough to entangle the horse’s or the dog’s legs. The automatic tightening mechanism stops it from being slack and get entangled. When I want to “unleash my dog”, all I have to do is to call her closer to me and gently let the handle go, it then tightens itself into the shortest position and my dog can safely run around without tripping over the handle. When it is time to “leash” her, I call her over to my side again and bend down to grab the handle, much easier than trying to put a carabiner around a harness ring. This way I can leash / unleash her without dismounting. The fit of this harness is true to the size guide and my dog (22 lbs sheltie, size medium) likes it, she can be picky with gear when she does not find it comfortable. We don’t really use it for any other purposes, as I still prefer non-flex leashes for all other activities, but this works well for riding and seems to be made sturdy enough. My dog is not a super hard puller, even though she has her reactive moments, which the leash hold up to greatly. Please note that I trained my dog to walk next to the horse on a normal leash beforehand, using the leash pressure to guide her to where I wanted her to be and stay. I don’t think a flex leash can be used for this initial training, as you cannot use light pressure for communication with it. But for an already trained dog capable of maintaining a safe position next to the horse on her own this is a great tool.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Hundegeschirr! Es sitzt perfekt und schneidet nicht in die Haut meines Hundes ein. Dank der Polsterung an den richtigen Stellen ist es super bequem für meinen Vierbeiner. AuÃerdem sieht es auch noch richtig schick aus und lässt sich ganz einfach an- und ausziehen. Ich kann dieses Geschirr uneingeschränkt empfehlen und bin froh, dass ich es gekauft habe. Definitiv eine gute Investition für das Wohl meines Hundes!
