If this ever broke I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER… LOVE IT
I love “fry cake” donuts and this donut maker is wonderful and makes the best fry cake donuts, 4 at a time, for family fun and snacking. I have tried all the recipes and all have turned out perfectly without any bitter tastes or off smells. We love the buttermilk chocolate recipe. To make the buttermilk I use evaporated milk in the can and white vinegar. I always keep evaporated milk on my pantry shelf because we do not use milk on a regular basis and when I need it, I grab it off my self and mix with water according to the can directions. I use the full Tablespoon of baking powder but I do mix and then sift the dry ingredients to incorporate them well before I add the wet ingredients. We add 1 teaspoon of coffee extract to the chocolate recipe to pop the chocolate taste. We also add 2 teaspoons of ground cayenne pepper and a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to the chocolate recipe to make Aztec Devils Food fry cakes. To make frosting them easy we just use store shelf cake frostings. To make a glaze, you just heat up the white frosting in the microwave so it just melts and dip each donut and but them on a wire rack to drip but everyone seems to like the frosting right out of the container spread on them with sprinkles or jimmies or crushed peanuts. These are not deep fried, fluffy, yeast donuts that you fill with jelly or Bavarian cream. These are FRY CAKES: a baked, sweet cake like donut that you see in the Hostess powdered donut box but these are fresh and even yummier than Hostess! If your child loves to bake, this is great but I would recommend the parent removing the baked donuts out of the machine to avoided the child possibly getting burned fingers. Next weekend we are going to try the boxed Jiffy corn bread mix from the store and make cornbread rounds and if they turn out we’ll use them on our Thanksgiving table along with the cranberry rounds we have already made from the Jiffy muffin mix. We did freeze some to see if they would be good thawed and they were but we always eat them up and never have any left over to freeze.

Easy-Perfect little donuts with a 4-year old!
Wonderful! Bought this to make vegan donuts with a 4 year old and they turned out perfect!!! Didnât stick at all! Used a simple Oat flour based recipe off the internet. We overpoured the batter and it was easy to peel off the crusts, and still left perfect donuts. Took about 4 mins. I just eyeballed.*The only drawback is the cord is rather short (2ft est.) so if you donât have an outlet right next to you, an extension cord may be helpful.*for those that said they turned out sticky or uneven. They probably needed a different recipe because these were so easy, and perfect.

Great little donut cooker for the price
I had been hoping to get the larger model, but most places seemed to be out of them at the time so figured I’d give this little devil a try. It was certainly well worth it, once the unit heats up initially each round of donuts takes all of about 3-4 minutes to get a nice evenly browned donut on both sides. On hind sight I would probably just use 2-3 of these at the lower price if I was so inclined to make larger batches. The first time it was heated up, even after cleaning thoroughly before use, had a fairly strong smell from whatever coatings didn’t clean off initially. However after maybe 15 minutes or so running it burned off whatever had still been left behind from the manufacturing process and it’s been smell free (aside from the overwhelmingly nice donut aromas that linger for hours afterwards).Filling the donut mold cavities I just used a freezer bag with a corner snipped off, piped in the batter going around the mold two times, and shut the lid. 3 minutes later: perfection.A simple toothpick worked like a charm to poke into the donuts at an angle and pull them out of the unit as it didn’t come with any utensils or accessories outside of the recipe booklet (which doesn’t have half bad recipes, like anything they need tweaks to your own tastes and preferences). Haven’t had any issues with donuts sticking in the least, they just pull right out.The outside of the unit, particularly the handles, don’t get very hot which is quite nice. The only thing that’s a little chintzy on this is the front latch, it’s pretty easy to pop off entirely and wouldn’t be too surprised if at some point it ends up breaking.

Great for Gluten Free Donuts Too!!
Gluten Free Donuts at last!! This little donut maker worked great! In 3 minutes I had the best little gluten free donuts ever.I am really happy I purchased it. I used the recipe by Nicole Hunn. If you are gluten free, then you have probably bought her books.I was able to make 36 donuts in no time at all. I filled a quart size zip lock bag with the batter and cut the tip to pipe the batter in thedonut maker. That worked well, but I am going to purchase a cupcake pen now that I know that I like this little donut maker. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because when I was done making donuts and cooled the machine, I went to pick up the donut maker andoil dripped out of the machine and onto my counter and floor. Evidently, moisture and oil gets sucked in under the cooking plates and when you stand the machine up in its locked position the oil drips out of the hinged area in the back. You may be thinking why did I put so much oil in my mix? There was only 4 tablespoons of oil in the donut batter and I didn’t use any on the metal plates. This is just a caution to other users to be aware of.I stood the machine up on some newspaper over night to let it drain. I don’t know how this will affect the donut maker in long term use and I hope that it does not become a hazard.

Sooooo good!!
I used a recipe include and added different topping. I even cut some in half and spread on some Nutella. I got 40 out of the batch, easy, breezy. But, my family devoured some before I could take the picture. Easy to use and cleanup. Love it!

The donut maker get too hot to use with young children
First, the donut maker works fine. No complaints there. The recipes for the donuts could be improved. They were not very tasty. And finally, I bought it to use with a younger child obsessed with donuts. Sadly, the machine gets way too hot and isnât safe for children.

Buenisina calidad de los materiales, hermoso color, funciona a la perfección y tienen un super precio, la calidad del instructivo y sus recetas son de alta calidad a diferencia de los artÃculos chinos de ese precio, compraré aún más…

I admit i had doubts that it would work so amazingly well. The product comes as described and is incredibly easy to start using. The recipe book that it comes with has a selection of recipes to use, i’ve only tried one so far but it tastes amazing. Will definately recommend.

Stupid product. Not sure how this seller sells a 110V product in India. No warning or instruction. My daughter plugged into power to see a flicker and it is gone.

Our favourite donut recipe is the sour cream one… They only take about 4-5 minutes to bake and clean up is a breeze because of the nonstick plating. Theyâre so cute and tasty too!!
