Straps not secure.
These do not prevent paw licking and the straps do not secure very well. the snap on design makes me nervous that my dog would eat that strap that snaps on. Also, the socks are snug all the way up and down, so if your dog has dewclaws, it adds to the fiddly nature of putting them on.. They are nice for walks in cold weather but I believe I will only use them for that.

Perfect for an Old Dizzy Dog
My 14 yo mutt pointer mix (58lbs) usually HATES anything on his feet. He has had socks/booties before and walks around HIGH stepping it or not wanting to walk at all. However he doesn’t seem to mind these socks, maybe he’s older and realizes they are helping him not slide on the hardwood floors anymore. For now he is doing much better walking around the house with the socks only on his back paws. If I place the socks on the front paws too, then he isn’t very happy, so the back it is. He is experiencing the old dog dizzy disease, idiopathic vestibular disease, and these sock have helped him tremendously in getting around and his back legs not spreading apart on smooth surfaces.As for the socks themselves they appear they are thick enough material to hold up to his claws, not poking a hole in them. I do like the idea of a snap on the socks and then the Velcro strap has a button that just snaps the strap in place, then you tighten. Holds the socks up quite well.For $14 you cant go wrong!

My dog is a kangal and has very large paws. These while listed for extra large, simply didn’t fit.

Product is great, my dog is not a sock wearer it turns out
I have a big clumsy lab puppy that’s slipping and sliding all over our hard floors as she tries to play. Ordered these for her to help her get better traction. The fit was great after following the sizing guide. They go on and stay on easily…unless your dog is like mine and became completely obsessed about trying to get them off. For the short moment she had them on she had great traction and I had hoped she would appreciate that long enough to not try and take them off but not so much. She was chewing on her paws and pulling on the socks, which held up great by the way. I just didn’t want her to hurt herself so I took them off. Will try again at another time to see if we can get her used to them as they are a great well fitting product. Maybe better suited for seniors than wild puppies.

Not worth the money
I returned them today and here’s why…Measured the dog’s paws exactly and rounded up per the size chart and they were too small. In addition, the description says they can be used for winter (no way). They’re basically nothing more than a non-slip kids sock. The only use I see for these is for indoors if your dog has trouble getting up on slippery floors. That said, go to the store and buy nonslip kids socks. You will save yourself some money…
