Quality material, “emergency” handle is a MUST, and comfortable for the dog!
My Aussie/Catahoula mix is 41-42lbs, but has a broad chest and narrow hips. The small harness fits her PERFECTLY. At first I thought it would be too tight, but after finagling the straps for a few minutes, it fits snug across her chest and neck with about a finger’s width for some breathing room. My Zoey is a nervous rescue dog and half the reason I bought this harness was so I could put “DO NOT PET” patches on, more for her wellbeing than others’ safety. She is trained well and doesn’t bite, but she’s still a dog. So I LOVE the handle, for grabbing her during emergencies and for when neither one of us saw the squirrel dart across the trail we were running on :)Zoey seemed to squirm a bit when I first put it on her, but I’m going to attribute it to me having to mess with the straps and her overall discomfort with change. After a day or two of her getting used to it, she has absolutely no problem with it at all. I love that it’s minimalistic, or else I don’t think she’d be as comfortable in it as she is. The metal buckle, where you attach your leash, is also a great place to put dog tags! Excellent harness for my somewhat picky dog, we don’t leave the house without it now. I can see this lasting for a long time!Patches: I don’t use the “SERVICE DOG” patches, because she isn’t a service dog, but I DID check the quality of the velcro for review purposes. High quality velcro on both the patches and harness!

Fits my 80 pound Husky mix
The vest fits my 80 pound husky and is very sturdy. The pictures I’ve added are screenshots are from a video that would not upload. They should give you an idea of the overall construction of the vest. I’m going to try the video again later and will be glad to answer questions. I looked the vest over and didn’t find any loose threads or weak seams. There is a loop for the leash to clip onto and a handle. These are both secure. The heavy plastic clips also fasten securely. The top is well padded and the material seems breathable. I was able to put this on comfortably over a cooling towel. That’s pretty important during the summer in the south.My favorite feature is that the service dog patches are clear, unmistakable and held on with what seems to be commercial strength Velcro. They all held firm when I tugged on each one. Short of digging under fences or running through brush with the vest on, there is no chance that these patches will accidentally come off. He’s been out in public with the SD vest on several times. So far, no one has asked to pet him when he’s worn it!The only fault I could find is that the end of the abdominal strap does not have an extra layer sewn on to prevent it from slipping. The strap loosened but held when my dog went after a squirrel. Folding the end onto itself and sewing a seam will hold it in place. It is an odd oversight given the high quality of the rest of the vest.

Doesnât sit exactly centered on the dogs back, but she doesnât mind. Iâm a fan of the spanker harnesses. They always last a long time considering the abuse I put them through.

Great vest for chew proofing, just small problem…. problem solved!
I ordered the extra small (the smallest size they had) for my mini Aussie that is 21 weeks and a neck size 9. My dog has chewed through 5 harnesses now and each harness was different material and shape as we were trying to find one he couldnât reach with his teeth. After all those attempts I thought i would try this style of harness since the straps didnât go over the shoulders on each side of his neck like the others. The material of the vest itself is super tough, the straps do not seem as tough they seem as the same material as others Iâve tried. The strap that went around the rib cage fit well, the front strap across the chest was just slightly too big and even on the tightest fitting it seemed to loosen up when he would pull on the leash no matter how many times I tried to fix it, allowing him to start to chew through it and making it possible for his head to come out of the front strap and possibly escape, it was kind of awkward how you had to tighten or loosen the front strap because it was permanently attached at both sides of the vest. However the location of the straps really seemed to be out of reach of his mouth/teeth to chew so I really wanted this vest to work, especially because the vest part itself (not the straps) was super good strong quality. To fix the sizing of the front strap, I cut it off completely and made my own out of the same material as the other strap that I got at Joanne fabrics, then put industrial strength Velcro on each end to attach to the existing Velcro on the vest. This easy fix made the vest escape proof AND FINALLY CHEW PROOF!!! The Velcro is too strong to come undone when he pulls the leash or when heâs in a full sprint outside when attached to the dog cable and comes to a fast hard stop. The location of the straps are great too because it doesnât hit his throat like a collar would, so I can be worry free of causing any damage to his trachea. And itâs super easy to secure the vest to him. I can tell this vest will last a long time! And, it really looks cool on him. The picture I added is before I cut the front strap off, just to show what the actual vest looks like and how it fits.

Scout loves it
I bought this harness for my blue heeler, Scout. I really like the look of this harness as opposed to a lot of the other harnesses on Amazon that have a lot of material and buckles and nonsense. This is a good, low profile tactical looking harness. The handle holds well and the stitching looks durable. My problem was the under-the-belly-buckle broke after the third or fourth time using it for light walking and playing. I saw a bit of a defect in the plastic when I got it, but it seemed to work fine, so I let it ride and it failed soon after. This is a cool set up, and looks great on my pup. If the materials were better, it would be a fully functional harness.

Very good quality. Iâm very pleased with this purchase I have a 15 week old Weim and didnât want to spend big bucks on a harness that he wonât fit in a few months time. This has room for him to grow a bit until he fits into his full grown ones. Itâs very well made and fits perfectly. He has a size small and he is 27lb. There is room for him to grow as well. Depending on how it holds up over the next couple of months I may just buy another as he grows. Itâs hard to find harness to fit weimaraners properly due to their barrel chests. This one is excellent for that. Great price, good quality and wonderful fit as well. Happy customer here.PS: you should stop sending out âemotional supportâ tags with your harnesses. Those should be reserved for registered dogs and folks that truly need them. Not anyone who just wants to take their untrained non working dog everywhere they go. Itâs a problem for those who truly need them.

I can’t really swear by the comfort since I don’t wear it but it fits very nicely. I am totally amazed with this harness it works like a miracle. I have a 11lb. Chorkie and walks were a challenge he constantly pulled and although he was getting a bit better it continued. I have purchased many harnesses and nothing would work even though they claimed no pull, I put this one on him and I swear 90% reduced. I am just in awe with this harness and totally recommend. I wish I could give you a thousand stars, my arm thanks you.

This does fit my small dog well, but unlike other harnesses, there is no ring on the neck strap for tags or bear bells or anything. There is only the back leash ring. I will have to buy another harness because of this design failure.
