Perfect seat for smaller, anxious pup
This is the third car seat I’ve purchased and I wish I chose this one first – honestly I was put off by the cost and thought there couldn’t be much difference between seats. I was wrong :)I knew I wanted an over-the-seat booster for my 13 lb rescue who needs to be able to see out the window to minimize her car sickness.This seat is small — it couldn’t likely hold a slightly heavier dog but not much taller/longer (my dog’s a chiweenie and is dachshund length with chi-height legs) — but very sturdy. The bottom is reinforced and frame is strong with durable fabric inside and out.My previous booster seat was deeper – with mesh sides – but I could never get it to not slant. It felt flimsy and my pup never fully relaxed. This seat is fairly shallow, but my dog can rest her head on the rim if she wants to sit down (rare for her). The booster is lined in cozy fleece, which is a definite benefit – and removable for cleaning!If you need a booster for a smaller dog, particularly one who’s a bit picky, this is my recommendation.

Great booster for small dogs
This is the second Kurgo seat I’ve bought. It’s the booster that seems to work best for our chihuahua mixes, who are about 10 and 11 pounds. They seem to feel safer and happier in it than other dog seats and carriers I have tried. I really like how this newer one has pockets for leashes or other supplies. I also like the removable and washable pad and liner. The dogs seem to appreciate being able to look out the window, and I appreciate having my dogs safely contained while I drive.

Super Dog Seat!
This is a great solution for smaller dogs in the car – keeps them safe, out of the driver’s lap, and entertained by the view on short or long drives. My dog is about 12 pounds, and 12″ tall at the shoulder. He can sit up and look around, or curl up in the fleece inside the carrier to nap. This is installed on the front passenger seat, but easy to take off for a human passenger instead. Positioning for the dog’s view works best when the car seat back is in the most upright setting. Strapping goes behind the seat headrest and attaches to the carrier sides with strong metal clips. The carabiner that clips to the dog’s harness is powder coated steel, not lightweight aluminum – very solid! Outer and inner fabric is durable, and there’s a separate quilted fleece bottom pad inside the fleece liner that also can be removed for washing. I added more padding on the top edge, just inserted some layers of cotton batting between the outer synthetic fabric covering the frame and the fleece lining that wraps over the top edge because my dog likes to rest his chin on the top surface. The only downside is that the strapping that holds the carabiner can get twisted and shortened if the dog turns around a few times in the carrier, but my dog has figured out how to untwist himself most of the time.

Good design for location of seat and restraint

Für unseren Spitz-Mischling (7,8kg) hätten wir nichts Besseres finden können. Er passt so rein, dass er sich schön während längeren Fahrten reinlegen kann aber auch nicht rumfliegt. Der “Anschnaller” für den Hund (Karabiner und kurze Leine) ist sehr stabil.Was mir besonders gut gefällt: Der Hundesitz ist extrem stabil und rutschfest am Sitz befestigt. Da kann sich nichts verdrehen oder überkippen, auch bei zackigen Kurven nicht. Ich denke bessere Qualität kann man nicht erwarten.Die Benutzbarkeit ist auch zu loben. Der Korb hängt an einer Befestigung, die sich am Korb lösen lässt. Somit muss nicht der ganze Sitz abgenommen werden, wenn nur das Innenfutter zum Waschen entnommen werden soll. Es reicht diese Steckverbindung zu lösen (während der Hund natürlich nicht drin sitzt) und den Karabiner kurz rauszuklipsen. Starkes Ding.

Ce panier est beau, de qualité, et très bien conçu pour à la fois empêcher le chien de s’agiter dans la voiture et le sécuriser en cas de freinage brusque, ce qui était mon souci. Mais je dois le retourner parce qu’il est trop petit pour mon chien, un spitz japonais de 8,5kg : il peut s’asseoir mais pas se coucher. Si la marque proposait le même produit plus grand, je l’achèterais.
