Customers say

Customers find the litter box functional and good value for money. They say it’s sturdy, easy to clean with a liner, and works well to keep litter off the floor. However, some customers have issues with lockability and bottom flatness. There are mixed opinions on size, ease of cleaning, and build quality.

Love this litter box.. I bought two!
I have to say, this is the best litter box I have ever been able to find. It replaced my two top entry litter boxes (what I settled for, but my cats were still tracking litter and had a terrible time with “litter foot”). I’ve had many cats and many litter boxes throughout my life and this one is the winner in my household. My cats are 10 lbs and 12 lbs (both are health weight cats, age 2 and 6) and it fits them perfectly. It’s also not huge like most boxes that take up a ton of space, this one is large enough for my cats but small enough that it can fit discreetly where I need it. I took the flap off both because one of my cats gets really confused and can’t get out lol (which has always been a problem for him). I’ve been through the litter all over the floor, tried mats with no luck, and tried many different litter boxes. From the expensive, even to the self cleaning ones. Out of all of them, my cats track the least amount of litter with this one. I assume because of the little piece that they step on to get in and out that allows litter to fall back into the box. One of my cats is a zoomer after he uses the litter box, so this helps a lot with him having to take a second to get out and the litter isn’t tracked through my home. He also has some issues with using only a particular type of litter, so I had to search for the right litter box. That piece that catches the litter can be detached if not wanted. It also comes with a scooper that is stored INSIDE of the box which I absolutely love because there’s not an unsightly, dirty scooper hanging around the box for everyone to see, and it just stores so nicely. There are 2 things that I would change about this litter box- 1. The bottom is not flat, there are 4 pieces that slightly stick up and litter does gather around it. But it is not hard to remove by flipping the scooper over and pushing it up before scooping it. 2- the lid does not lock in place. It’s not a huge deal to me and my cats don’t knock it off, but when I need to move it I have to grab it by the bottom, I can’t just grab it by the top handle. Those issues are minor to me and do not affect my 5 star rating because this box has been a life saver when it comes to my cats and the messes they were leaving before. Definitely recommend for average sized cats, but if you have a larger cat it may not be a large enough space for them.

    best $15 I ever spent!
The last two cats I had (for the past 20+ years) did not use a litterbox, which was wonderful. However, I recently got two shelter kittens who are too small to go outside and are thus using a litterbox stashed in the corner of my bathroom. The bigger one likes to kick the litter all over the place, and when I say “all over the place,” I mean it’s like confetti after a Mardi Gras parade, and usually done at 2 am. Given that I use the newspaper pellet litter, it’s not only messy, but loud! That same kitten also likes to pester the littler kitten to keep her from using the litterbox, which makes for lovely surprises for me in various corners of the house when I get home from work. And those little kittens stink, and I mean stink like something dead and rotten got eaten and regurgitated and eaten again, and THEN pooped out! Anyway, I just couldn’t take the mess and noise, but I’m also pretty frugal (i.e., sometimes cheap) and didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a covered litterbox that I hope to wean them from using in the not too distant future (when they’re big enough to go outside without getting eaten), so I bought this one. NO MORE MESSY BATHROOM! Yayyyy! No more pestered kitten trying to poop! Yayyyy! No more stinky aroma wafting through my house from the uncovered former litterbox!! YAYYYYYYY!! I don’t know which is a better reason to buy this thing, but I actually bought another one to put in the corner of the living room. Yes, the handle on the top isn’t a handle to pick up the entire box. It’s just to lift off the lid. Will soggy litter accumulate in the recessed edges? Maybe, but I use the pine pellets, so not for me. My bathroom floor isn’t covered with litter pellets, the little kitten can poop in privacy and peace, and my house doesn’t smell like cat poop anymore!! Best money I ever spent!!

    90% great! 😄
I *almost* love this litter box, though my small cat thinks it’s great. We got it because our new puppy was finding ‘snacks’ in her old (uncovered) box and that was obviously unacceptable. So I found this one, which was reasonably priced. It’s nicely sized & fits my (small) adult cat well, though I’m not sure how well larger cats would fit into it. I *LOVE* the little (removable) grate at the door, that has been very helpful in keeping the litter inside the box, and not coming out with her as she leaves. My only complaints are these 3 small things (not really enough for me to discourage someone from buying it though):1) the scoop that comes with it, is less than useful for smaller chunks, bc the the sifting holes are too large. I already had a scoop, so I use it instead.2) the bottom of the box isn’t flat everywhere, so it makes scooping stuff near the bottom a tad cumbersome in some places around the edges.3) the top isn’t locked down. It fits snuggly, but it doesn’t lock into place like other covered boxes I’ve had in the past, so even though there is a handle on the top of the lid you can’t use it to pick up the entire unit. Not the end of the world, but it IS a little misleading, if you see the handle while the lid is on; it just allows you to lift the top off the bottom. The other potential issue I see with this, is if your cat jumps up (scared) or bumps the top of the lid too hard, it could come off while he/she is inside.

I have five (yes, five) Ragdolls. They are big kitties and hooded litter boxes are a must for my big man Binks or he misses; I have two XL corner ones, and am slowly replacing 3 of my standard ones and getting one more finally, as budget permits. (One box per kitty plus one extra rule!)When I ordered this, I figured it would be too small, but I liked the price point and it’s hooded. I also had gift cards, so no loss. To my delight, it’s only been a few days and, legit, it’s a fan favourite!Just as the other reviews have said, the door is useless; it came off and will definitely not stand any regular traffic. I took it off, but this worked for me, as one of my cats is outright stupid (Beau) and the other is a bit slow (Edgar). The litter catcher piece is actually amazing! Their fuzzy pantaloons usually have stragglers, but this has it cut down significantly and doesn’t deter or hinder them going in like I thought it would. Like I said, they are big kitties (two are ~15 lbs), really too big for it, but they just LOVE it; if it ain’t broke! Haha.Suffice to say, I will be getting three more! Paired with the two XL corner ones I have, I have happy kitties and I’m a happy cat mom!

Good slightly smaller size. Easy to pop off lid and clean out.My cat pooped in it and seemed to enjoy herself.

  7. I love the litter box but it came without a door which is the main reason I bought it.

I love the litter box but it did not come with a door to attach to the litter box which s the main reason we bought it. Trying to figure out how to contact seller to see if they can send a replacement door!

This cat litter box is awful to clean, they’ve put recesses and designs into the mold so when it comes time to clean the used litter, it gets stuck in the designs… there’s a recess all around the bottom which holds the used litter too. Plain smooth bottoms and sides are the norm, if I’d know this had all the designs I would not have bought it.

We seem to be very lucky in the cat distribution system and currently have 6 were-stray, now family cats and I needed a cleaner litter tray option. The cats all use these as the tray inside is still well lit via the clear’ish plastic lids. Love that the scoop is included and had a place to sit. The little grill on the entrance does seem to reduce the scatter outside of the tray. Only slight annoyance is the bottom of the tray is not completely flat which makes things a bit more awkward to keep clean. Good price, food quality, otherwise I wouldn’t have so many!
