Very secure but a little bulky
This harness is quite secure once it’s on, but is a little awkward to get on because of the double fasteners (velcro plus clips). There’s a lot around the cat’s neck if they also have a collar on. It’s really handsome on, though, and the bulkiness doesn’t seem to bother him.The medium just barely fits our 9 lb Bengal mix and is too small for the 10 lb, slightly bulkier cat (also a Bengal mix). If I was going to reorder, I’d get the Large.

This One Worked – Socks Can’t Get Out. Update 4/21/19
After buying 3 other “escape proof harnesses’ – I tried this one.Socrates (AKA Socks, AKA Houdini) found it NO challenge to Back Out of the Other harnesses we tried.Just Not So with this one 🙂 🙂 . He was Trapped 🙂 🙂 He adapted quickly and now enjoys our back porchAND – – we are comfortable leaving him out there unsupervised to enjoy the Sun and fresh airHe had always been an outdoor kitten, until he adopted my wife by jumping into her car. 3 TIMES over 2 weeksHe always whined though when we went out – wanting to join us. But we have Coyotes and Foxes nearbyAnd just do NOT want to lose him. This harness AND the German Made “Flexi Classic Cord Leash” (Highly Recommended) provide the perfect balance of security and independence Socks now enjoys.The only comment I have is that the harness purchased was recommended to fit his Neck size and Chest (Medium)Well – – the Neck fit – – at the Smallest, but I had to extend the chest strap to the MAX extension.The Neck connected with the Velcro AND the snap clip – – but the Chest Strap at full extension, would NOT permit the Velcro to attach. The chest strap clip would secure – – BUT – – it kept slipping out from under the padding.That was fixed after my bride (who is a sewing genius) tacked the strap to the padding (White “X”)I have purchased a Second harness for our other cat – – Archimedes – – a rescue kitten a little smaller than Socks – – so they can BOTH enjoy the outdoors.Archie was FOUND in a forest – – as a baby kitten – – next to a bowl of water. I don’t think I like some humans.-After a week or two – Socrates figured a way to get his left shoulder free 🙁 :(This a result of the chest strap being too short for the Velcro to attach. Back to the drawing board.So I fashioned a strip of velcro (white) hooks on one end, loops on the other, and sewed them together back to frontSo one side connected to the fuzzy side of the chest strap, and the other to the hooks side of the chest strap.This seems to have solidified the integrity of the chest strap belt, and it seems more secure now.While taking the photos, Socrates saw the harness and thought he was going to get to go outside 🙁 :(-IF this doesn’t hold Mr Cat – I’ll put a velcro loop around the snap belt attached to the chest strap so that won’t slip loose. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Not so escape proof.
Harness is easy to put on. I got it so I could put my cat on a lead and leave him outside for awhile. However, he has backed out of it twice in my presence so bow I don’t feel comfortable leaving him unsupervised.

I’ve searched long and hard for a harness that I felt was secure. This is it! I’m very comfortable that I will be able to grab my kitty before he slips out if he should go bonkers (hey, they *are*cats and no harness is truly escape-proof).If I had any thoughts, it would be that it was not quite so thick under the chin (across the front of the throat) because it interferes with the true freedom of sniffing around on the ground (but doesn’t stop him!). I guess if it allowed more freedom it wouldn’t be as secure, though.I am happy with the back of the neck area. One thing I didn’t like about other harnesses I tried, including the Kitty Holster, is that it pushed against the back of the neck/head and the kitty had to walk with his head down. My kitty didn’t seem to be willing to push against that. (But the Kitty Holster would be a great harness, too, if they made a small cut-away for the back of the neck. Even just 3/8″ would work.) :-/The part behind the shoulders was fine, too. It didn’t cut in to the ‘pits’ like some harnesses.WARNING: Be sure you look at the SIZE CHART, not the product information. The product information for size medium is incorrect. The size chart isn’t great either, to be honest. My kitty has a size 13.5″ girth and the Large fits well. With the medium, the flaps over-lapped barely one inch. Not enough to be secure.

Sizes Are MUCH Smaller Than Youâd Think
Maybe my cat is just super muscular, but the medium did not fit my smallest cat at all (heâs only 9lbs). The part that goes around the neck was WAY too tight and the part that goes around the torso wouldnât close without cutting off his breathing. Iâd return it, but Iâd pay shipping and itâs not worth it to me. Iâm not going to buy this brand again.

Très bon harnais, un peu raide (il ne s’est pas assoupli après plus de 6 mois).Parfait pour sécuriser un chat, convient parfaitement à la taille de ma Sacré de Birmanie de 2kg300. J’avais peur qu’elle saute par la fenêtre quand je l’ouvre, et ce harnais m’a permis de la sécuriser quand c’est arrivé.Ajustable partout, assez agréable pour qu’elle arrive à dormir dedans quand il le faut, mais elle se déplace toujours un peu bizarrement.

Ho acquistato questa pettorina per utilizzarla in vacanza, la mia compagna ha sempre desiderato provare a portare la nostra micia con un guinzaglio per fargli esplorare posti nuovi, ma non abbiamo mai azzardato, poiché avevamo paura che si sfilasse e scappasse a causa di rumori o altri animali.Abbiamo optato per questa pettorina poiché sembrava un prodotto affidabile, grazie alla doppia chiusura velcro/gancio. Siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti, la gattina si è subito trovata a suo agio, certo un po’ impacciata nei primi momenti, ma una volta presa confidenza non ci ha più fatto caso, siamo riusciti a far qualche giretto nei prati e in alcune stradine isolate. Abbiamo anche testato l’efficacia della doppia chiusura, quando dopo un forte rumore, la micia ha cercato di scappare, ma grazie alla pettorina non è successo nulla, una volta calmata è tornata felicissima alla sue esplorazioni.â Pro:- affidabile grazie alla doppia chiusura- ottimo prezzoâContro:- attenzioni alle misure prima dell’acquisto, non precisissime

Nos ha gustado mucho por que la talla “m”para un gato de cuatro meses, todavÃa pequeño le va bien y permite ampliarlo más. Es una tela resistente y el foro interior suave y calentito. Quizás en verano le agobie un poco.
