DOES THE JOB–but the “mini” is really tiny
> The “Mini” is 2″ in diameter, but looks smaller. Another review correctly said that it is just a little bigger than a ping-pong ball. However, the holes are the perfect size for stashing shelled hazel nuts for birds (such as my Senegal parrot) and other small animals. The 4″ are a good size for stashing unshelled peanuts. The 5″ balls are good for stashing unshelled almonds (for my Amazon parrot).> I wash my Hol-ee balls in the dishwasher—albeit, my washer does not have a drying cycle—the dishes just dry by the heat used in the wash which saves a lot of electricity, and plastics dishes last much longer.. If your dishwasher has a drying cycle, then place the balls as far as you can get them from the heating coils—or maybe wash the balls in your clothes washer.> Despite the complaints of other reviews, I did NOT find a quality issue.> I bought the larger (~4″ diameter) Hol-ee balls, years ago to fill with unshelled peanuts for my parrots. To my surprise, the parrots enjoy(?) taking out their frustrations on the balls. My Senegal hates my wife, and attackes his Hol-ee ball when he sees her. Itâs perfect for a new puppy!
I ordered the extra small one for my puppy and it is great for keeping him active and engaged. I put treats inside the ball, he tends to push it around with his nose to get the treat to fall out. Itâs soft for teething pups and made well.

Ideal for chihuahuas
At last a ball my 5lb. chihuahua can retrieve.Too big to fit in her mouth, she can grip and run with it.The next size up drags on the ground .These balls are tough for playing tug,they bounce well and our Boston terrier also loves playing with the mini which fits comfortably in her mouth whilst still being too large for her to choke on and unlike most other types of ball she doesn,t damage/destroy these in any size.Our chihuahua also loves the mini bowler balls.I hope both the mini hol-ee roller and the mini bowler balls will soon be available in the U.K. as,of course, the postage from the U.S.is greater than the cost of the balls and we have to wait longer to receive them which is so hard!

Can Easily Be Destroyed
My 3.5 lb chihuahua who is 11 months old did this after only one month. Itâs a sturdy little, perfect size ball, but not sturdy enough. As you can see, he chewed through it & broke it. Now to start over again looking for an indestructible tiny ball. Ughâ¦..

versatile dog toy that is a must have
This is the 5-6 inch ball. We got this one as well as the 2 inch ball for our puppy (golden retriever). She will get bigger, but loves playing with both already. This is currently her preferred fetch toy. What we love is we can play with it in the house. It is fun to kick or throw and we aren’t concerned about it hurting anything since it collapses on impact. We don’t go throwing/kicking it at our TV, but I have no concerns about it going at a window. This has been great during the winter with our puppy. Our puppy loves how it collapses, she can tackle it, chew it, squish it, swing it, anything, and it just springs back into shape for more fun. It is easy for our 4 year old to grab it and throw it for the puppy. We have never had an issue with it getting soggy from drool.The other benefit is the fact that you can put treats inside the ball. we have put tons of different treats and items inside to keep our puppy occupied and it does a great job for 10-15 minutes while she figures out how to get the items out. We have even gotten the 2 inch ball inside this one with treats inside it and created the one activity she can’t figure out yet- but it keeps her going for a long time. The holes are at least as big as a quarter, but the larger ones are slightly bigger. Most dog treats fall out, but it is perfect for putting pig’s ears in and just as a general dog toy.We have had this for several weeks, played with it consistently with our puppy, and there are very few signs of wear or tear. One joint on the edge of a hole looked like it had a tear the other day, but I think this is from us stretching it to try and get large toys or other items in- not from the puppy. Even if it breaks next week, we plan on getting another one as we have already gotten our money’s worth.

Smaller than I thought it would be but pretty sure it says the size in the description. Maybe a little bigger than a golf ball. So it didn’t work for what I wanted to use it for. Not real sturdy my black lab got ahold of it and bit threw parts of it. It it was intended for my morkie who doesn’t chew things up or tear them up like my black lab. Over all pretty good toy for a small dog.

Best toy ever
Long lasting, hard to break about 1.5 inch bounce ball, can hide treat inside . It’s like chasing a mouse or such . My dog loves .Yorkie terrier. Totally occupies my dog until treat is out . Can throw,it is soft, won’t break.

I have a Chihuahua/ pug mix. They can breathe through this ball. Something to consider for your pups. And she hasn’t been able to chew through. Keeper !!!

Bought for Tortoise, to put his treats in and he absolutely loves it. Ordered the smallest size available but it does come in a range of sizes for different animals very good value for money and the material is thick enough so that he canât chew through.
