Perfect for our Dachshund
My baby was so scared of the other dog nail products we tried. We tried another nail grinder that was way too loud and she would fight 2 people to get away. It took 3 people to hold a 9lb puppy to trim her nails at the vets office with clippers. This Dog nail grinder is so quiet she actually fell asleep while (I) was doing her nails. The idea of these is great. But I would suggest making sure your dog is okay with the time of noise they make before purchasing. My giant bear of a dog was cowering at the sound alone and would not let us put it near him. We stick to going to the local vet for mail trimmings. And it supports a great place in the community. But if you want to save money and your pet is brave, go for it.

I was hoping this product would work out, but the charge was so weak I could barely due one paw, so I sent this back!

It was okay
It does run quietly as advertised, but unfortunately the filing surface is made of rough metal rather than a more sandpaper-like material as I’d hoped. So, that means it’s quiet until the dog’s nail touches it, and then it’s pretty loud and also more rough than I was hoping. I tried it out on my own nails and it’s a lot more affordable than a Dremel brand, but less gentle for this particular use.Professional groomers tend to go with Dremel brand and the softer tips. If your dog isn’t overly anxious, this product is probably fine, but mine couldn’t handle it.
