We got this for our new pup in the hopes it would help them be more comfortable on the long drives were going to be going on soon.Pros:I like the size of it, we put it in our van and it helps add a little more space for her to lay down in compared to the seat on its own, and I was a bit concerned I was going to get this and find it was meant for a very small dog. Assembly was easy, once I knew what I needed to do. I also like that it can be disassembled and packed away so as not to take up so much room when not in use.Cons:Needed to go to the product page to see how to assemble since there were no instructions (the panels were easy enough to figure out, but I couldn’t figure out where the support rods went until the video). And I needed the instructions again to figure out the recommendation for securing it to the seats. It’d be great if they included a QR code that went to the video on their project page.The supports are not a strong as I would like, it barely stands up as it is, and there are little things that could be done to add strength (like the velcro around the zippers, if it went through the material and then closed rather than just being a flap it would add a lot more support).Overall it seems a decent design for the price. Our pup isn’t fully convinced of it yet, but I think if we put some blankets/pillows in she’ll take to it.

Not sturdy
like the seat but the rods to strengthen the sides dont work . The rods tend to side out and do not add enough support. I wish the rods were made out of stronger material. We went on a 10 hour trip and had to put the rods back in every time we stopped, very disappointing.

This was simple enough to put together. The video provided on the site was incredibly helpful. Mine did not come with instructions, so without the video I would have been lost. Video was good, though. My dog (1.5 year old golden doodle) loves to jump between the front and back seats, so I thought this was a great idea for her. Got it set up in the car, clipped her in with the provided seatbeat, and she literally just jumped out. Put her back in, tightened the belt, and she tried to jump out again and in doing so, snapped one of the side support bars in half immediately. Maybe better for dogs that start the process earlier?
My Honest Review –
Excellent car dog seat with seat belt.
I have 2 large Standard Poodles and this seat will easily fit either one of them. The fabric is heavy duty, much more substantial than it looks in the pictures, with strong zippers that work very well. Assembly is simple once you find the slit for the poles (at either end but not a typical rod pocket slit, it’s jorizontal and difficult to see, will include picture). There are hard plastic panels to reinforce the front and floor. I was blown away at the size of it, will easily accommodate my 45 lb or 65 lb dog. It includes a seat belt, a great feature for traveling safely with your pet in the car. Very pleased with the size, weight, construction of this car seat. I haven’t driven with a dog seated in it yet but will add to the review when I do. My dogs are seasoned travels so I know this seat will keep them contained. For a highly active dog the seat belt offers extra restraint and keeps your pet safe in a moving vehicle. It also works great for holding several bags of groceries or other items you need to keep contained while on the road. I love the versatility of this pretty seat, I highly recommend.

Much Better Than Full Coverage!
I wasn’t sure I would like this seat cover, or that it would be big enough for my dog. Most dog “car seats” are designed only for small or toy breeds. As you can see, this is exactly right for my 30lb spaniel, and she was eager to test it out as I was putting it together.Note, it almost lost a star for a couple of things: first, there are no instructions with the item. That’s not terrible, as the listing description shows you how to do it. Some of it is fairly easy to figure out, like inserting the plastic corrugated panels. However it took some searching to figure out where to put the little rods for the side portions. The other thing was the corrugated plastic itself. These aren’t firm plastic panels, they will bend if they get hit wrong. So if your dog is really one to jump around, or you’ll be storing this folded up often, you could wind up with a bend in the firming panels. It wasn’t enough, overall, to defeat how pleased I was to find a dog “car seat” that fits a larger dog and doesn’t take up the entire back seat.I didn’t get any photos of the seat actually in my car, mostly because it was dark when I installed it. I will try to remember to update the review when I’ve taken some. The dog enjoyed the seat, and with her blanket and a toy it’s actually better for her than the full backseat covers – she doesn’t slide around so much, and it’s cozier for her. I like that I have access to the other seat in the back for another passenger, or groceries, etc.
