This Hand-Crafted collar is a regular collar with a nickel plated D-ring to connect leash. The more it is used, the more comfortable and natural feeling the leather becomes. These collars have 5 holes 1 inch apart. Try to match your dogs neck with the center hole. Measuring your dog’s neck- We recommend using a length of string to measure the distance around your dog’s neck this will give you the most accurate measurement. We do not recommend going by the length of your dog’s old collar, because all brands of dog collars are made differently. Perfect ID collar. Get it!
My dog has worn this collar for about a year now. (Update: three years, now) It is well made and sturdy: both the leather and metal plate. (Update: still sturdy after three years of constant and heavy use).Before that, he had a leather collar with his name and our phone number embossed in the leather. That method did not work: the letters rubbed smooth after a short while and became unreadable unless I scratched them back in. After my dog got out and a neighbor found him but couldnât read the lettering, I replaced it with this one.Laying the metal plate on the collar is much better than have a dangling tag or engraining the ID in the leather, itself. Tags cause noise, they are less comfortable, and they are more difficult to read.The weight of the buckle naturally shifts the lightweight brass metal identification plate to the top of his neck, which makes it really easy for someone to read it.The metal plate is lightweight and sturdy. The name and number has not and will not fade or scratch away. The metal plate conforms to the shape of their neck and does not bind at all. It also has a nice aged patina after a year.Iâve received lots of compliments from other dog owners at the dog park who have been trying to find something like it.Now when my dog gets out of the yard, passers-by can contact me quickly. Very indispensable.Update: Three years later, the collar is still in great shape. My dog is an enthusiastic runner and wrestler at the dog park, and this collar still looks great. Very satisfied with this purchase. Still indispensable for my dog.

This item came packaged nicely, the brass nameplate was done up well and was easy to read. The leather is nice and soft, no hardness to it so my dog didn’t have to “break it in”. The style is well thought out as the nameplate being done on soft brass is easy to scuff is opposite the tags/buckle area, so with thw weighted part always pulling itself to the bottom of the neck, it’s harder to damage the plate (though it still will get scuffs… Especially if you have a big dog thats active. Lol). I would definitely get this again, with or without the name plate, it seems like decent quality leather, and my dog (who is allergic to everything, including grass! ð) has no issues with it. Two thumbs up.Edit: My puppers had this collar for quite awhile until we had an unfortunate skunk incident… I was happy to reorder from this company the same collar. Still amazing quality! And fast delivery too! Still two thumbs up, love the collar. Fits my dog well. Will order from again if one is needed in the future. Which, this thing is durable… So may be a bit. If we are lucky to avoid the skunks.

Good collar
Received the collar fairly quickly. Quality is good and fits my large Ridgeback/Lab mix neck size (he has a thick, musclur neck) with plenty of extra holes to spare. I especially like the plaque with name and info. Makes him look more unique instead of attaching the typical dog tag to the collar. I have used a leash on the collar for a limited amount of time and it appeared strong enough, but I am taking into consideration a few other buyers stories on how their collar broke. For now, I continue to put the leash on a slip on Martingale collar for walks because, like most Ridgebacks, any small animal that dart’s out is “game” to him and I need to be sure I have control as we work on training him. That’s why I only gave 4 stars. I might test the collar out again and post my final analysis on strength later. However, I do recommend this item.

Great Collar
Update – I just purchased a second collar after my dog wore the last one for what I did not realize was two years straight. The collar still looked great and still functions perfectly. After two years of wear the clasp portion of the collar got slightly rusty after our most recent beach trip, but this was not the collarâs first time in the ocean. This collar is definitely worth purchasing!I chose this collar because it is made in the USA and had good reviews. The collar definitely meets my expectations. The leather is a nice thickness and a great quality. The engraving is also an excellent quality. My dog looks very handsome in his new collar. I will definitely order this collar again when he wears this one out (which I think will be quite a while from now). I would highly recommend buying one.

Finally the collar I’ve been looking for!Our Lily already has a waterproof reflective collar with the riveted nameplate. She’s had it for over a year and it’s still in great shape. It’s great for our insane Florida weather and trips to the dog beach.But I’ve been looking for a leather collar (to me they just look classy) for her to wear everyday. The riveted nameplate was a must! So much better than jingling tags. I’ve seen plenty of leather collars online, but they all seemed to have the same negative feature. Lily is a chocolate lab, so the black and most brown leather collars can’t be seen on her. I do not care for red (too stereotypical), and the other ‘colored leather’ collars look cheap to me.This collar is EXACTLY what i’ve been wanting for her.-It fits her perfectly-Simple but classy design-Quality craftsmanship-Riveted engraved brass nameplate-Belt type buckle closure I preferand the icing on the cake…-It is a honey colored tan that contrasts beautifully with her fur (see photos)!I expect this collar to last a long time and when the time comes, I would not hesitate to order again!
