I do like this bowl because it does cause my dog to work at getting her food. She seems more content and less restless.I like that the shelves come off for easier cleaning.I would buy this again.

Love the design.
Bought this to slow my pittie down at meal time and add a change. You can add a great variety and it’s very large. It is also pretty easy to clean. That being said my pittie likes to destroy everything and I have to watch him very close. He finished everything and it did slow him down but going back to finish the food in the different areas he missed he started trying to pull it apart. Great if your dog doesn’t like to destroy things. Otherwise keep an eye on them. I would purchase again.

Definitely slows down the fastest eater!
Really like this bowl and it does exactly what it claims to do! I ordered this as we have 3 chihuahuas and a chi-weenie dog. Our little chi-weenie is our newest rescue but can be a tiny terror when it comes to meal times! And other times too..lolWe feed everyone in the morning and the evenings and everyone has their own place and own bowl. But our chiweenie gobbles down her food then high tails it to all the other bowls to steal their food. All the other chis eat at a normal pace and our most senior one eats pretty slow. They never have their food eaten by the time the tiny tornado appears and she just gobbles all she can of theirs! Let it be known that she is getting plenty of food as they all are, in fact a couple of them are like me and could lose a little weightâ¦lolAnyway to combat the problem I have found that if we put a little food on each level of this bowl that by the time she pushes everything around to find it all that that has given the other three plenty of time to eat.I didnât realize the bowl would be so bigâ¦probably twice the size of herâ¦but it works!!!I canât recommend this enough if you have a gobbler, this will definitely slow them down. Plus she thinks it is a toy and we have to pick it up after eating because she enjoys going back and spinning the different levels.I appreciate you taking your time to read this review and sincerely hope it helps you in making the decision to purchase or not. It works!
Did exactly what it’s supposed to do. My dog tricked me though I thought one insert was enough but I’d at least use 2 for most dogs. The suction cups on the bottom were a nice surprise. Larger than I thought it would be but no complaints.

Not too bad for so may parts.
I got this to slow down my puppies eating. It comes apart faily easily, actually. Really easy, ill explain in a moment. It cleans up pretty good in the sink or dishwasher. It serves it’s function, to a point. It’s a bit oversized, but that fine too. It’s eatability is good, slows him down.Now to explain it coming apart, after feeding my pup, he got frustrated one time and somehow, he managed to take it apart, chewing the top locking piece till it was not usable. Now, I can still use it to feed him, but he knows how to take it apart. Rendering it counter productive. I wish it was a little bit harder to take apart, but overall, it wasn’t a bad tey to slow down his eating. The multiple layers did slow him down, and still do, I just have to watch him while he is eating feom it now.

Great slow feeder bowl!
Labrador Retrievers are food based dogs that love to gobble their food. We have two, so I like to get a variety of different puzzle type bowls to slow their food intake. This one was intriguing because it had different layers and was big enough for our large dogs. It has three separately moving layers, each with a design that slows the dogs from eating too quickly. The bottom layer also has a design in it. Two of the layers are 1/4 of the bowl, the other is a 1/3 of the bowl’s diameter. The dogs move the three different layers to access their food. Each dog has had more than one turn with this bowl and it did slow down their eating. Were they happy, probably not, but oh, well. This is a well thought out bowl that will work well with larger dogs. Each layer is removable so it can be easily washed if you’re serving wet food. We feed kibble with fresh veggies, so the bowl gets washed after every meal. Neither of them tried to turn the bowl over. It does have suction cups on the bottom to hold the bowl in place, but they didn’t stick to my textured flooring and the dogs ended up pushing the bowl around the kitchen – not a big problem, nor would it prevent me from buying another. Overall this bowl did exactly what it was supposed to do and we are now using it on a regular basis in rotation with our other slow feeder bowls. This was a very nice find.
