Why should pets’ nails be polished? 1. Because pet dogs often play indoors, their nails are too sharp, which can easily hook the carpet or other places and cause danger; 2. Dogs who often exercise outdoors can use the rough ground to wear their nails to achieve balance, while dogs who often exercise indoors have less nail wear; 3. Long nails will cause inconvenience to the dog’s activities, and proper polishing will make him more comfortable.

Charged up quickly
I love that it didn’t take 16 hours to charge up like my portable phone did. I think this grinder was fully charged in about 20 minutes. It runs really well and you can hear and see the distinction in the different grinding speeds. There is a learning curve in getting the job done right. I watched a couple of videos and then felt comfortable doing it. It’s nice and quiet, so it doesn’t get my dog upset before I even get started. I think this will be much better for us both over the old clippers. I’m happy with this product.

Won’t keep charge
I like the tool, but it will not keep a charge more than a day. I have to recharge it every time I want to use it. The dog and I are not happy about that.I imagine it is the type of battery in the device.

Easy to use and my dog doesn’t mind
This grinder works as I expected it to. My dog is skittish so noises are sometimes a problem. This one is quiet enough that I didn’t have any issues using it on him. It grinds the nails down easily and the charge holds up well. There is a learning curve to using it but YouTube helps with that. I have never liked clippers so this grinder is definitely my jam!

Great simple solution
This device is easy to use and works well at grinding down dog nails. As always, make sure to watch for the quick. It does create a lot of nail dust, so you have to keep blowing off the dust to see how far you’ve ground down, but overall, way easier to use than the clippers i’ve tried.

Quality Device Over Any Clip-Styles Makes 4 a Great Value …
Opted for one of these over the ol traditional clippers thou I did have a nice set of those with a clip limiter. Those did fine with the prior pup that had succumbed to the ol age syndrome a few years ago. Soon afterwards finding a male German Shephard as my new best friend who is now a still growin 2 year old. This is now my 3rd pure-bred Shephard (the 3rd of 4 best frends thru life) – all past pups never gave me any probs clippin their nails – even if i caught a ‘quik’ once in awhile – they still allowed me to finish up later on or the next day. This ones well trained to hang out in his crate when I’m off to work and luvs to get the puppy baths and also groomin’ em has never been an issue BUT that’s as far as it goes. He’s got an issue with the nails – he just will not succumb to the clippin’ n’ at times doesn’t even like havin his legs grabbed for which I have no clue as to why since I’ve never teased em, etc. Thou I’ve gotten by hear n’ there with the clippers – it’s usually a difficult task of a few a day that he’ll tolerate without givin’ a hissy fit. SO after going over a few different grinder types along with this one – liked the features over several others and hit on em. The item comes nicely boxed with its info booklet – a charging cable (usb ‘c’ to ‘a’) of 40″ in length – and a 2nd replacement head if n’ when the first one becomes worn out. Overall the trimming device is very ez to handle being only 6 1/2″ in length with an ‘oval’ diameter of just over an inch. It charges pretty quick and has an led that shows the charging status. It’s also equipped with an led light just below the head that lites the area of the grinding tip and pets paw very well. That tip has a (2 in 1) protective sleeve housing that’s rotatable for choice of either small or large nails. The devide is equipped with a 2-speed motor which is pretty quiet compared to any dremil type device. All in all it’s a very nicely made item that has zero issues. Now for starters – the procedural plan in my scenario I had chosen to follow had been to get this out while the pup was relaxin – just hangin’ out on his huge pup bed – showed it to em n’ let em ck it out thoroughly – then laid it down nearby for awhile. Later on – picked it up n’ turned it on so he could again ck it out while on. A few minutes later I picked it up n’ while on – rolled it along his back – this he accepted perty quick since of course it’s gotta feel good just vibratin his bones (lol) – and it did just that very well. Sat it back down n later on gavem a few treats while doin that several times. After a few of those of the same – moved down onto his legs nearing his paws a bit each time. Now after a couple days of that without any conflicts – it was time to give it a go. At first he pulled a bit on first nail so i had to quit – a few hrs later on – one more try – I got thru a nail – he got a few treats n’ a good back rubbin with the item til the next day – another nail finished AND so on it went – took about a week but all groomered out without a pull – growl – or run away. I left the device out at times here n’ there for around a month just to run it on his back every so often along with treats so he never forgets and can look fwd to it. This worked pretty well for that 2nd time which still took 4 days – a paw a day. This scenario worked quite well with him. It only takes a few lil quik lite jabs to do a nail even if they’re quite longish. As far as cleanin the head – its pretty ez with a paper towel then a quik wipe off with a soft hand towel. No issues yet – the head appears as when new. Therefore I can highly recommend one of these over any of the clipper types. Good product here – the values there.

didn’t last long
i was excited to use this as i do my own grooming for our pup. he is barely 10 pounds, but he is so hypher that grooming is a task. he never wants to sit still.he has all black nails, so i am really careful with the trimming of his nails since there is no marking to let you know how short to cut them.typically, i only cut them down 4mm and then use a nail grinder. i’ve been doing this to all of our pets for years and never had any issues with it.this grinder i was looking forward to making the task a little easier.it has a light on it that you can use to guide you as you’re using the nail grinder and it has a cap type of attachment that you can also use to guide your way from grinding too far.this worked out fairly well the first time using it. make sure to fully charge the device first before using. however, after the 2nd time, this wouldn’t operate anymore. it wouldn’t charge properly either.the light indicating the charge would just flicker, and trying to power this on and get it to work again wasn’t possible.so this ended up being a waste. i had to order a new one from a different company instead.
