Great!
The dogs love this and started to play with it immediately, does need a stronger lid because they have learned to go for getting the center top off and just eating all like a dog bowl. Thanks

Fun problem solver for your pet
Great puzzle feeder for a high-energy, food-motivated dog. My shiba inu is neither of those and is more methodical, so it was entertaining for me watching him try to problem-solve this on his own. The instructions say to teach them that each slot has food first and then introduce the food dispenser button later. That wouldnât work for my stubborn, one-track-mind boy. We skipped the beginner level and went straight to level 2 so heâd immediately associate pressing the button with the food reward (or at least drops down into the slots where he has to manually open each one). It took a few times, with a little coaching by me in between to hit the button to dispense the food, but by the third round, I could see he put 2+2 together and didnât need any prompting from me. The feeder also came with a grooming kit â nail clipper, nail file and grooming scissors â which I thought was out of place, as most dog owners would already have these items or buy it separately. There are a couple of drawbacks, like washing it was a bit of a pain. Itâs supposed to be dishwasher safe, but I usually handwash everything, so drying this out with all its crevices and flaps took a long time, especially if you live in a humid area.It drops a lot of food on one go. My boy only gets about half a cup of dry food each meal, and it takes him about three rounds to finish it, so I wish I could adjust it to make it harder. And even though it has non-skid pads on the bottom, my boy was able to easily push it around on wood floors. Heâs normally not rough with his toys/puzzle feeders, so I wouldnât recommend this for rough dogs who like to flip/push things or especially smart ones who might figure out all you have to do is hit the button several times to dispense the most food in each slot in one go (as it might not be enough of a challenge after a couple of times). The nail scratch pad on the top is negligible. My boy just press directly down and barely comes into contact with his nails, so I saw no difference in filing his nails down using this method. However, out of all the 15-plus different puzzle/slow feeders I have for my boy, Iâd say this is at the top in terms of how long it takes for him to finish his dry food. That may change once he figures out a faster way to get the food out, as he inevitably always does through repeated tries, but for now it serves its purpose.

Cats and dogs both like it!
This is a high quality product that comes assembled. I like that it includes an extra hinged door replacement piece in case the dogs rip one off and chew it. Thatâs what happened with a different brand dog puzzle. This one is heavy and sturdy. I like how the clear cover to the food receptacle is smooth-edged so the pets canât lift it with their noses and thereâs nothing to chew. Our dog chewed a different treat feeder and made it sharp around the edges. This one also has sticky feet to keep it in place while the pets are playing. This is good because it has two levels of function. The cats were very interested and figured out how to lift the doors to get food. They were so cute to watch. The small hole in each door is smart so they can tell which reservoirs still have food. My little doggie overcame her fear of new things and finally tried it after the cats. She also learned how to open the doors and hold it with her nose while licking the food out. It definitely makes regular, boring food seem like a treasure. The dog did not yet figure out how to push down on the middle container to release more food but I think she will. I use small-bit food for things like this. Each time the top is depressed quite lot of kibble falls into each spot. I wonder if I used large kibble if it would slow down the feeding even more. Anyway, I plan on using this in three ways: to give the cats something fun to do, to give my dog a slow feeding challenge to keep her stimulated, and for my daughterâs dog to dispense treats during agility training. Iâm very happy all around with this product and canât believe it came with the grooming kit too for the price. I did not see the sandpaper discs in the box. Once my dog learns to push the top it might be something to try, but for now it works just fine as is.

Not well made
The lid falls off when the dog presses it hard. Needs to be redesigned.
