EASY TO SET UP: You can install a Tether Tug in just a few minutes! Each Tether Tug Kit includes the pole, an in-ground base and a Knotted Rope toy for tugging. Take the 18” in-ground base and use a rubber mallet to bury the base almost entirely into the ground. Then insert the pole into the base and let the tugging begin! The pole should be barely visible above the ground, so you can simply remove the pole and safely mow over the top of the pole.

My dog LOVES this
My dog, Finn is a 120 lb Lab, Shepard, Bloodhound mix. He’s high energy and very strong. He loves this toy and plays with it every day. This is the second one I’ve bought for him. They last maybe a year before he frays the red “hollow rope” portion where it comes out of the top of the pole. But, with all the usage and because he’s so aggressive with it, I’d say it’s more than I would have expected. The rope that comes with it is too soft for him, so I replace it with Amazon product: Mammoth Flossy Chews 100 Percent Natural Cotton Rope Dog Toys – Premium White Knot Dog Rope Toy – Interactive Dog Tug Toy – Tug Dog Chew Toy for Medium to Large Dogs – Large 25″ which fits perfectly into the steel carabiner on the Tether Tug. Also, because of his size, instead of driving the metal pipe holder into the ground, which didn’t work for me, I dug a 8″ hole about 18″ deep and set the pole in concrete. But, these steps were only necessary for me because of having a 120 Lb strong dog. If your dog loves to play tug, you need this toy. Finn loves loves this toy.

Rope snapped after 20 minutes
Bought this for my dog for Christmas, set it up Christmas day and within 20 minutes the rope snapped off the hook, tried to retie the rope with no success, bought a new rope and after some time trying to separate the strands we got it on. Weâll see how long itâll last. Besides that the rest of the construction looks well built.

Waste of money
The pole bent after about 1 hour. In that 1 hours I had to get my dog to use it. He had no interest. It is not a substitute for playing with with your dog. Not even close. Do not buy. I am returning it.

The dogs LOVE it
I have an at home private day care and training business and as soon as I brought it out, some dogs took to it! They love it and it withstands multiple dogs tugging it.Only con is that it makes a bigger hole in the ground as its played with but I purchased some dirt to pack in holes they dig every day anyway so I use it to solve this problem as well.

Rope didnt last long tied
My dog loved it for the first part of the day. The rope came untied and off the connector. I would think for this much money it would stay together longer. I’m on the second time retieing it. I contacted Tether Tug and they informed me that the rope attachment that comes with purchase is not as durable as the other attachments. Well if I’m spending that much money I would think it would be a little more durable then one day. I did order another attachment with it, it hasnt arrived yet. So we will see how that works out
