Perfect Baby Shower Gift and a Must-Have for Future Parents!
I recently purchased the Fisher-Price Baby Playmat Glow and Grow Kick & Play Piano Gym for two of my good friends’ baby showers, and it was a total hit! My sisters and sisters-in-law highly recommended it, and now I completely understand why. Babies absolutely love itâthe vibrant colors and engaging piano sounds are perfect for keeping them entertained while supporting their sensory and motor skill development.
It was such a hit that another friend added it to her baby registry after hearing about it! The Amazon delivery was lightning-fast (overnight!), and the price is very reasonable, especially considering how long babies can use it. THE best thing we bought for our baby
If I could choose one product we could not do without for our 3 month old it would be this play mat. He loves it SO much and will play on it for ages, which is great and also allows me to get some stuff done around the house. The actual piano works really well and has a shocking number of settings: it plays TONS of different songs (which I will admit are actually catchy as all get out and have grown on me) and it has a setting where it will play animal noises/instruments/shapes. The best part is you can move the play bar to the side which really helps our baby practice rolling over. And you can even attach the toys to the bottom for tummy time! It’s been such a life saver I would 100 percent recommend.

Love the product over all, except that the piano keys do not light up like the other version does. Not sure if we will exchange it or not yet, but otherwise itâs really great for engaging our son.
UPDATED after a week of play/trying it out:
Weâre returning this for the other version (multicolored with elephant animals) for a few reasons. First, the piano doesnât light up or have as many piano keys to push and play with. Second, the other version has better sound settings to engage baby. This one only does the piano key and then plays music following the piano note playing or does 30seconds of a few songs when kicked. Itâs just not as engaging as the other version unfortunately. Itâs super cute though, Iâd love to see this woodland theme one have the same great functions as the other one!

My little one is obsessed with this thing. The lights and sounds keep her entertained when sheâs feeling fussy and needs distraction. Itâs easy to clean and just the right size. It grows with her with different setting of interaction so itâs not a throw away item.

Perfect for my 2 month old
Our baby absolutely loves her kick and play. The songs are good and short so they are not super annoying. However when she kicks it back to back to back it will stop the song and play a piano key sound and then start a song again. So itâs rare we hear a full song if sheâs really playing hard. We did have to adjust the piano and secure it upside down which itâs not made to do but it worked. The buttons only push from one side and often her feet are held up higher. So once we made that adjustment then she could use it. I love the colors of it. The only downside of it is the piano keys do not light up, which right now she canât see down there so itâs okay but as she grows it would of been nice as the other color one does have that feature.

Iâve been using this Activity Gym Play Center for my 2.5-month-old baby for a month now, and I couldnât be happier! The piano feature is amazingâitâs currently the most used function. The music plays continuously, and my baby enjoys lying on his tummy, watching the colorful, flashing keys. He even recognizes the first melody and knows it ends with ârarrr,â and he tries to mimic it!
I love that the piano can be detached and placed upright on any surface, making it easy to use anywhereâon a table, floor, or wherever you like. It keeps my baby entertained for a good amount of time.
The arch with toys can also be used separately, which I find handy during diaper changes. I place the mat under the arch, and the mirror overhead captures his attention. He loves looking at himself in the mirror! I wish there were a few more rings to hang extra toys, so I bought an additional set of rings for about $5. This way, he can reach for them with both hands.
The mat is quite thick and padded, and Iâve already washed it since, naturally, thereâs drool and spit-up. I washed it on a gentle cycle, and it came out looking like new without losing its shape.
Weâre very satisfied with this gym and plan to use it for a long time. The piano has various modes, and I look forward to when heâs older and can kick it with his feet, but for now, heâs still too young for that. The melodies are delightful, and even my family joins in singing along!
I really like the blue color, despite some opinions that it may not be the most attractive. The black-and-white arch is a favorite for my baby; itâs what he looks at the most. Plus, it fits perfectly into our gray and neutral decor, much better than bright red or green options.
Overall, I highly recommend this Activity Gym! Itâs a wonderful investment for my babyâs development and entertainment.
