Compact excellent bassinet
I have an older model halo at home but it is too bulky to travel and would be too big for the room at my parentsâ. I ordered this for my baby and could not be happier with it. My husband assembled it quickly and without complaint. It is sturdy. The mesh sides are important for me and baby. I also like how it can slide on top of the bed w the drop down side for easy access to the baby for nursing. The only thing i miss between this one and the one at home is the side pockets (for diapers wipes) but i am not sure if the other halos are still made with that feature. You do need to buy sheets separately. I just brought my spares from home.I haven’t packed it up to travel yet but if i do i will try and update.I thought the price was reasonable for the product.

Very thoughtfully designed
Love that it is stable but light making it easily movable while getting on and off from the bed.The adjustable height helps to perfectly match your mattress level. Very practical and safe for the baby. Definitely a good value for the money.

Perfect
We purchased it as a secondary bassinet for downstairs use and it has been perfect. For the price, this is amazing. Sturdy and light, can be moved around. The lowest adjustable height is still pretty high but not a big deal for us. I would recommend this to anyone with a newborn.

Hard to put together but fits the bed
The most annoying thing to put together. The directions were not exactly helpful. Also, it doesn’t fit through the doorway with the legs on, so if you ever move it to a new room you have to take it halfway apart. Other than that, we love it. It’s tall enough for my bed when other bassinets are never tall enough. I don’t have to get all the way up to attend to my baby, which is so nice. Great price too compared to some other brands.

Fabulous. Exactly what I waned.
This was super easy to put together. It was lightweight and easy to move so when I needed to change my bedsheets I could easily move it myself. I love the push down side as often I would fall asleep with my hand on baby and the moveable side was comfortable to the weight of my arm. I also loved that the side locked for safety. Iâm sad baby has to be out of it at 5 months, Iâm not ready. I loved this so much.

Great product, great price point.
You cannot be this product, especially at this price point. I prefer this to some of the other products that are similar in nature as the frame tucks neatly underneath your bed. It was incredibly easy to assemble and comes with a great carry case should you need to travel. My baby has a very comfortable nights sleep, and for the short period of time that you use this kind of bassinet, I think this product is probably one of the best options on the market. It is a very sturdy construction which presumably means the product will have great longevity for subsequent children. I have purchased sheets for the mattress online that are universal sized products that have been a perfect fit.

SIDS hazard – not level.
We bought this bassinet because of the good reviews. We were aware of some bad reviews saying the bassinets were not level but then other reviews were baffled by this saying theirs were level, so we decided to give it a shot anyway. The leg pieces on the bassinet we received did not connect together well and it was a pain to jam them together (and back apart to ship it back). When we managed to get the base all together, the stand didn’t look level. We made sure that it was correctly assembled and it was. I brought out my level and the bassinet surface wasn’t even close to level. So we set up a return and to HALO’s credit the replacement unit came very quickly. With this unit, the leg pieces snapped together very easily like they should. However, the two middle pieces at the base (where you adjust the height) were a major pain to piece together and when the base was put together the bassinet surface was still not level. So altogether we received two units from HALO that weren’t level and the pieces were a major pain to put together due to poor manufacturing. The only thing I gained from this experience was a large bruise on my forehead when I managed to finally tear apart the stuck pieces that should smoothly click together. This product is poorly manufactured and not level – a SIDS risk and I hope you look elsewhere as we are now.

Not sure – Assembly is Whack
Update! You donât know, what you donât know. If you end up having a sensitive sleeper or have a history with sensitive sleep babies, then this might not be the bassinet for you.Donât get me wrong, it still functions great! However, if I had known I would have a baby that cannot be moved after falling asleep without the risk of waking up⦠then I would have opted for a bassinet with a side that lowered completely. That would have allowed me to set the baby in the bassinet, sandwich myself close enough to breastfeed him in the bassinet, and then not have to worry about moving him.**Iâve put a lot of stuff together (bookshelves, tables, cribs, dressers) and usually have a fairly easy time. This was a struggle to assemble. I donât know if itâs because Iâm almost 36 weeks pregnant or what, but this was a tough one to assemble. Some instructions are more of an afterthought, but then end up being essential to proper assembly. I think itâs simply a matter of reordering a step or two in the instruction manual and updating the diagrams.I donât feel that the retractable wall locks are very sound. Right now there doesnât seem to be enough clearance to push the wall locks into the grooves/spot required to lock the wall. Luckily I have about 30 days to figure it out before my baby gets here.Positives: 1) not super heavy, 2) it does glide easily on our carpet, 3) the retractable wall does what itâs supposed to, so it should be easy for me to turn over and scoop up baby, 4) I like the different height adjustments – the lowest height setting works perfect for our bed and the feet slide all the way under our bed.
