This is an excellent brush for grooming a cat.
I live with an 18 year old DSH male cat who has developed matting on his coat over the past year. His recent annual vet visit showed he was in good health but cats as they age tend to lower their grooming cycles. I have used this brush in combination with another product…”cat detangler spray” and have found ( by trial and error) a process that the cat likes, removes the matting and leaves a clear glossy coat.I spray the detangler on the brush ( not the cat! ) and brush the matted sections of his coat “wetting” the affected areas. Waiting about 15 minutes I can now brush the matted areas off his coat with no pulling and accomplish a full body brushing. Excellent products!

Self cleaning slicker and undercoat brush
Amazing product! Definitely recommend. This does everything the manufacturer says it will do. I use it on my dogs and cats and not one of them seem uncomfortable, they seem to enjoy it. Gets my one double coated dog under late without pulling and creating âouchiesâ. Love the easy way to remove all the hair from the brush too. Wonderful design, very sturdy and easy to hold. Love it!!

BEST BRUSH EVER
I have 3 Australian shepherd / heeler mixes who have that glorious double coat. This brush has seriously blown my mind!!! Iâve had dogs my whole life but will never own another brush so long as this thing lasts. . It appears durable. easy to use. Easy to hold. I can literally brush my dogs with one hand and hold them with the other. I canât get over how simple this is! I would compare it to a slicker brush but with little knobs on the end of the bristles . Stupendous value for the price.

Great brush, is gentle, the dogs like it, the cats like it, and I like keeping the hair out of the house. Our doodle had to be trimmed very short because of tangles and other brushes and combs weren’t working, but now that we have this brush we can get tangle free.

Doesn’t Do Much for Our Dog’s Hair
We adopted a Lab/Australian Shepherd mix and I researched the best brushes to use to manage shedding. This company recommended 3 different brushes/combs they make as a 3 step brushing process, but only the deshedding tool pulls out any hair. I absolutely love that deshedder!This particular brush is easy to use and I love the function where you can withdraw the bristles to make removing hair easy. For a pure Australian Shepherd maybe this would do more. Our dog has Australian hair on his neck and hind legs, but most of his hair is more Lab like. Therefore, the brush just glides through and doesn’t pull out any hair. I imagine it would work better for longer hair prone to tangles. If you dog has more smooth or silky hair that does not tangle, I would not recommend this brush because I don’t think it will do much. Or at least check with the manufacturer first regarding your dog’s specific hair.

Go-To Brush for Our Mini Australian Shepherd
This is always our go-to brush out our very furry, year-round shedder of an Australian Shepherd. Does as great job of getting the underfur out and love how easily it cleans. Also good at getting at the knots our little guy gets on his legs due to long fur tassels.. Great product.

Amazing slicker brush
I saw the slicker brush in an article about Shiba Inu on what brushes work best. My dog normally hates being brushed and with my regular slicker I never have gotten this much hair off! My dog enjoyed with grooming with the first use and I was able to free him from so much hair.
