–I’m giving it 5 stars because it is a really cute toy that my labs enjoy playing with.–No, of course this will not hold up to those that seek to destroy toys, yet–It is cheap enough (add on price of $1.99) that you could try it out (or buy it to let them shred it)- with supervision.If you buy toys to let them shred, then I think this might be better than going to thrift store and buying a toy because these don’t have plastic parts (like eyes and noses) to tear off and swallow.–Light and flexible enough to be tied to a flirt pole, if your dogs likes enrichment activities like that.–Could even be used in other canine enrichment activities- such as end hide and seek, nose work, etcWhatever their play style.. always supervise!My two labs, especially my boy are gentle with stuffies. This is long enough for him to carry in his mouth and/or to enjoy playing a light game of tug of war with his sister. They just run around with it and get silly. Eventually my boy l lays down with it and has it rest across his paws. He is a big fan of taking a toy (or my shoe, or an errant sock) out with him for potty time. We don’t always remember to bring it back inside, so the toy is bright enough to see (to find), and cheap enough (if it is forgotten about).The toy is 12″, and is light enough to be carried around by little dogs, yet large enough for big dogs to play with. There are squeakers in the length of the body and well as the head. The squeakers make different sounds.If you have a cat that likes to “gut” toys with their back feet, they may like this after it has been rolled in catnip.We get a random color, and mine happened to be be blue.These elongated toys are silly looking, brings a smile to my face to look at it, and it definitely lights up my labs cute faces to play with it. Win win!

My hairy family member had surgery recently. So I wanted to get her a new baby we called them with her. When she returned home as a gift. She really liked it alot if fact. She allowed it to live sleeping with it playing tough a war with us. But. As always it lasted for about three weeks then she found the squick and had to distroy it once the ear was found in the kitchen I new it was a done deal. She loved it though even if it was Short lived.And I would definitely purchase it again the quality was very nice and very appealing the price was fair and doggie enjoy made it a Worthy purchase.

I have a Mini Schnauzer who loves the loofa dog. However, this one stopped squeaking in less than 10 days. Still have the original one that’s a year old and still squeaks. Is this a decline in quality?

Holds up well for Tug-a-war!
I ordered this toy for our 6 month old puppy, who seems to prefer “stuffed” toys to any other type. It’s a different type toy for sure, not the standard looking “stuffed animal”. It does have a squeaker inside on one end. Luckily, it’s not an annoying, high pitched squeak. My puppy loves it and it has become his favorite toy quickly. It doesn’t shed. It sort of feels like material made out of towel. It’s not tough and is soft enough for a small puppy (8 lbs) to carry in their mouths. Even though we’ve only had it a few weeks it has held up well with our grown minature Schnauzer and our 6 month old Schnau-Tzu puppy (half Schnauzer and half Shih Tzu ) playing tug-a-war with it almost daily. They aren’t gentle with it either! The puppy carries it around constantly in his mouth. Wherever he is, this toy is certainly not far from him. There are zero signs of damage or tearing of any kind. It’s already had to go through a wash in the washing machine (cold water, normal wash). I even put it in the dryer (low heat) because my puppy was pacing around looking for it. I was pleasantly surprised that it held up perfectly through the wash AND the dryer! The squeaker still works fine and it looks as good as new. I didn’t have an option to choose a color when I ordered, but didn’t mind that for such a good price. I received the blue toy. It’s a little brighter than the picture, which is fine with me. My puppy is happy so Mama is happy. This was a good bargain for a nice, quality toy!*My boys aren’t destructive dogs. Although, they haven’t been “gentle” by any means with it I just wanted to add that. I’m not sure how it would hold up with a destructive dog who likes to rip squeaker out of toys. We don’t have that problem so I can’t speak about how it would hold up to that type of behavior.*

I wouldnât recommend for a destroyer
This little guy did not survive my raptor tearing him UP during keep awayð I wanted him to at least hang out with us for maybe a month to a few weeks.. Iâm sure if you have a light to normal chewer, itâd survive and last longer. However, to my aggressive raptor chewer comrades, this ainât it unfortunately.Before we lost him, he was a decent size and light weight. A squeaky little guy as some would say. Weâve had a smaller yellow little one like this and it did great, but that was with a smaller and less chew aggressive dogð

Our cockapoo puppy has loved her loofa dog since day 1 with us; I think it’s a combination of the size/shape (very easy to carry about) and the texture (she can get her teeth into the loops of the ‘fur’, but actually without doing too much damage). Loofa no. 1 is now looking a bit sorry for himself so we’ve already got three reserves in place. Shame they’re all beige (and I bought the later three from a different online retailer, who also had a picture showing different colours). Beige seems to be the only option. Loofa no. 1’s long, thin, lower-pitched squeaker at the back end died, but the normal squeaker in the head is still going strong. Nice to have a different sound while it lasted. His tail also came loose, but I noticed while it was hanging by a thread and just removed it.
