To be honest, I got this to use on a stray cat that has adopted our family. That said I have learned that she does not take to kindly to her paw pads being touched. After nearly a month of trying I finally surrendered and stopped.So I gifted the unopened canister to a local animal adoption shelter along with other items. The volunteer told me they were grateful for the items and that the paw balm was appreciated since that isn’t an item they typically get. She also mentioned one little doggie had some paw pads that were in pretty toughcondition. After treatment from the vet they then started using this on the dog’s pads and that it helped soften the dogs paw pads. They commented on the fact it had no aroma. They liked the viscosity of the balm making it easier to manipulate the product to apply it to the dog. It also did not seem to upset the dog’s tummy when licked.I understand this is not the typical review but I did not want to say I’ve used something when I had not.

If you can get your pet to settle down and let you put this on their paws and nose it works well. My cat was not a fan of it being on her nose, but didnât mind it on her paws. The two tins of balm are a nice size and will definitely last us a while. My catâs paws were really dry because we have the heat on and the balm moisturized my cats paws well. I apply it every other day. My cat doesnât bother to clean it off right away, so most of it has a good amount of time to soak in. I was worried about greasy paw prints, but havenât noticed any. I think this balm will definitely keep my catâs paws from drying out too much. I think for what you get itâs worth the price, would recommend.

My dog just had a chapped nose and I was about to put Vaseline on it then read that that’s not good for them. Found this and tried it out. It’s great, has a nice consistency to it, a nice mild scent, and she doesn’t mind having it on her nose or paws. Or, i should say, she doesn’t go and try to lick it off.It’s easy to apply with your finger, and doesn’t feel greasy or gross or stinky after. All around I’d say pretty good stuff.

I have two cats, one of which is particularly stupid – he’s a ginger cat and it’s not his turn with the brain cell at the moment..,. he will eat anything. A couple of times this has resulted in trips to the vet, so I’m very cautious about what products I’ll use on him!Many supposedly ‘cat safe’ products contain ingredients that aren’t safe if ingested in larger quantities, and the product makers label them safe based on the assumption that if it doesn’t taste appealing to cats then cats won’t ingest much of it.I’m pleased to report that this product does appear to be genuinely and fully cat safe! Ingredients and notes:- carnauba wax: non-toxic and generally considered safe for cats- coconut oil: generally safe for cats, excessive ingestion can make them sick if they’re not used to it. It is possible for cats to be allergic to coconut oil- beeswax: safe for cats- shea butter: safe for cats- rosemary extract: rosemary itself is safe for cats to eat and extract is safe in moderation, excessive use can cause irritation to skin and eyes- vitamin E: not toxic but excessive quantities can interfere with vitamin K activityso from the above, the only things to be aware of are potential allergy to coconut oil and potential problems from excessive ingestion. But as with any product for your pet it’s best to look out for any signs of allergy on first use, and if you’re using a product like this really often or for a long time it’s best to consult your vet to address the underlying cause of the symptoms you’re trying to address.After looking up all those ingredients, neither of my cats seemed to mind it on their paws… they took notice that I was touching their paws but didn’t lick at the balm or anything – typical! I’ve used it for a few days on a paw pad that was a little rough and it does feel smoother. Seems to be a good product.

I make shoes, and with all the machines and chemicals I use, my hands suffer.I noticed this and was attracted by the tin at first, it looked just like a traditional tin of shoe polish. Looking through the description, I realised it was made from very good ingredients, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Caranuba Wax, Shea Butter, Rosemary Extract, and Vitamin E.These are all good for leather and hands, so I thought I would give it a try. Using this might be good for the leather, and my hands…The wax is good, quite firm and good for my purposes. Testing it on leather it works well, moisturising and giving the leather a sheen. I don’t polish it off, it’s better to leave it to do its work, and it protects from water and chemicals. Also, it’s colourless, so it works well on coloured leather, many I use are bright colours.The good news is it’s good for my hands too, it’s not greasy and doesn’t cause irritation, plus it protects them from the chemicals I use without irritating them. Normally my hands suffer from the ingredients, but not with this, so it gives my hands a rest.I love the tin and label that attracted me to it in the first place, it looks classic and vintage. The tins are 6.5cm/3.5″ diameter.Of course, I can’t recommend you use it on your hands, but since it has no chemicals or additives, I’m comfortable with it. The ingredients are very good, so even if you get some on your hands you don’t have to worry.The price is fair for the quality of the ingredients, and I love the presentation, I’m sure any dog would be happy to have it!
