Seems like a good product.
We dog-sit a Weiner dog often and got this to take him on walks easier. Build quality seems good, the latch mechanism is a little different than normal, but very intuitive, and even an upgrade from the normal mechanism, colors are bright so my mother-in-law can find it easily.Only possible con is that the latch is pretty heavy, and the retracting spring is also very strong, so if you aren’t careful, you’ll get your knuckles cracked by the metal hasp. Super minor thing that isn’t worth taking a star away from, and is honestly even a plus in my book since it’s two signs of build quality.

This leash is very pretty and lightweight. Great price for what you get. The only thing I would change is how it retracts. It doesnât very easily and you have to reel it in by hand or it hits the ground. The cord itself is a bit thin and flimsy, but strong enough I guess to use on smaller dogs or ones that donât pull. Just be careful with it when cars come by or in the street walking. They can get too far ahead if allowed to.

Squirrel Chasing Made Easy!
This high-quality leash is perfect for my small dog, a 3-year-old, very active Maltese mix. She loves chasing squirrels, and this leash is long and sturdy enough so she almost runs out of the line, just as that squirrel foils her plan and successfully scampers up the nearest tree In the nick of time! Dealing with all this at once calls for a handle that can take it and this one fits my hand very snugly. And the intractability is perfect.

I use this for a 15lb, well behaved fur baby. Long walks, and recoils nicely. This is my 3rd leash. Good value, very durable!

Decent value for the money but flimsy locking mechanism
You get what you pay for and this works. Third time I have bought one as the locking mechanism failed on a previous version and fabric tore on the other. If your dog is a puller, any of these are going to wear out quickly so looking at cost primarily. Spent twice as much on a heavier duty version but limitations of plastic and the wear of the action of continuously scrolling and retracting seem to be universal.

I bought 3 of these for my dogs. They just arrived & Iâm impressed with the quality. I hooked each one to a doorknob & measured full length. All 3 measured 26â2â-26â6â. I recommend this leash for medium to large dogs.

My likes and dislikes may not be yours
Like: 01. I like that the hand grip is ergonomically balanced. 02. The thumb button is placed just about perfectly. Moving it slightly back towards the grip will provide better access and control, but this is minor to it’s function. 03. The color is beautiful.Dislike: 01. The retractable spring system is insufficient to maintain proper tension. 02. Therefore when retracting it is slow and causes slack in the line. 03. The line sometimes stretches on one side causing wrinkles. This does correct itself, but occasionally reoccurs.Conclusion: I would buy it again. I would prefer my dislikes are fixed or I might consider a different retractable lease. Keep in mind that my dislikes may not be a concern for you.

I bought this lead 6 months ago to replace an older one. (same length) – I only mention this as it is not the first retractable lead I have used. Unfortunately, this one is useless but more importantly dangerous! My dog nearly got run over twice in so many weeks because the lead got stuck and didn’t retract as it should have which meant that I couldn’t pull my dog out off the road as fast as I should have been able to. Which is what prompted me to write this review.Most of the time, when it is extended, I have to use 2 hands to get it to retract: one to press on the release ‘button’ and the other to loosen the lead so it retracts. The one start is for the bright colour (and the fact that there is no zero star!). I would definitely avoid this brand.

I really like these Segarty retractable dog leashes. The 26′ length is nice to have. It is easy to lock and retracts well, however, sometimes it is difficult to unlock it – it gets stuck. And then you need to figure it out using both hands, which can be frustrating. Otherwise, it is a good purchase.
