Healing Musher’s Paw Wax at Best Value
My 8 year old doodle has been struggling with sore paws due to all of the walking that we do with her. I thought I was being careful not taking her out when the pavement was too hot, but apparently not. To soothe & heal her paws, I have been using Musher’s Secret every day on her paws when we go out for a walk & also on her paws at night. My additional twist is that I put baby socks on her feet to help those little pads “marinate” & heal. When walking outside, I wrap electrical tape (bc it stays up the best) around each sock & below her dew claws. Works great! She is SO happy & waits patiently for the time it takes me to do this added task.I like the Mushers Secret because the scent is fine (unlike some other brands), it doesn’t stain & it seems to give her the healing protection she needs. This is all good- but in the little 2 oz. jar, this product is expensive- especially for how often I am using it! So, I was VERY HAPPY to find this 16 oz. jar of Mushers Secret which came out to be reasonably priced per ounce.

I don’t know how this stuff works so well but it does! I got it because my yard gets muddy just before, during and after winter.. My dog, a white golden retriever, loves to run. When he’s out in the yard for more than a minute, he gets trashed with mud, and his paws get caked with it. I couldn’t believe my eyes the first time I used this mushers secret. His paws were clean after running around in the yard. Yeah he got messy, but his paws which are usually the dirtiest part of him were clean! Unreal! When there’s snow on the ground, nothing sticks to his paws, nothing, not even a little! It took a little while for him to get used to me putting this on his paws, but now he just waits til I’m done rubbing it into his paws. You need to get it inbetween the toes and cover his whole paw, topside too. You won’t believe how good this stuff works. And it’s all natural and doesn’t stain.. How can you beat that?! Won’t hurt him if he tries to lick it off either.. This stuff is a must have if your dog paws get trashed in the yard. It’s worth every penny.. Yes, highly recommended! You can probably find a hundred other uses for it too. I put a little on my snow shovel to keep snow from sticking to it.. A little goes a long way!

Mushers Secret is a dogs best friend for keeping their pads in shape. I guide and train Upland Hunting dogs, and without this stuff when the snow is on the ground, my dogs would not be going. Keeps snow and Ice from balling up between their toes, and works great. Not 100% perfect…..but without Mushers, it is a nightmare. Dogs are stopping every 20′ to get snow and Ice out from between their toes. Would not be without Mushers secret.

Excellent paw protection
I was using a nice herbal salve alone before. This would restore softness to my pup’s paws but did very little to protect them from lots of running on cement and patches of empty, sandy soil. Since using the Musher’s Secret, my pup’s paws don’t dry out anywhere near as much. Now, instead of using herbal salve every day, I can attend to his paws two times a week -first the salve (don’t know whether still necessary but I like the herbs!), wait a few minutes for his pads to absorb the salve and then work in the Musher’s Secret. His paws (and my hands) are in much better shape. Apart from the good results, I love that the scent -though apparently not botanical, is very subtle. Glad I found a large jar; this should last a long time with much better price per ounce than the smaller size.

I’m a dog groomer of 8 years and have been using this product for probably at least a decade and it’s the best for soothing and healing dry paw pads, noses and elbow areas, etcetera. It was originally created to condition the feet of Alaskan sledding dogs by creating a barrier between the skin and the ice. What’s also great about this product is it takes very little to work; just scoop out a small amount with your finger and apply in a gentle circular motion to your pet. It won’t hurt them if they try to lick it off. Used every day or a few times a week, you’ll see a big difference pretty fast. Also great to apply on the paw pads on hot days for protection from hot concrete and asphalt!

Musher’s Secret: THE Best Paw Balm for Dogs Walked/Exercised on Cement, Macadam, & Salted Streets
Musher’s Secret comes in a round container and quickly melts from the heat of your fingers so it applies smoothly, and easily to your dog’s paws. When I first started using it, I put way too much on. Less is More. Do not try to fill the spaces between the claws. A thin covering on only the paws is sufficient, and within a few days, the paws will start feeling more pliable, and softer. Without using balm, the paws can become jagged edged, rough, and even cracked. It has a mild, pleasant smell. The best value for the money is the large 16 ounce container. We apply in the evening before he goes to his crate, and apply it once daily, no more. This will not protect your dog’s paws from splitting wide open in 120 degree Arizona summer heat on black macadam streets however, so do not expose your family friend to anything more than you normally would. Musher’s Secret just keeps the leathery paws moisturized and offers some protection from wintery streets that have been salted. We are using it on our 2nd family dog, and it keeps him happy, and it will keep you happy too! Buy it, it works.

Great stuff.
We’ve used this product before in the past so we knew it would help us now. One of our dogs has very soft pads, and we have a rough concrete patio she runs across to get to our fenced in yard. Her pads take a beating. This is helping her to not only heal but it also protects them.

I donât write many reviews but I really like this product. My little guy wonât wear boots and when he walks on the sidewalk the salt and the ice have been bothering his feet. Lots of times I would wind up carrying him home. I ordered mushers secret thinking that I might help a little but I am amazed at how well it works. I rub a little on each paw pad and Simon has been walking on snow and ice as if itâs not even there. He hasnât picked up his paws once and we usually walk for about an hour every day after work. He doesnât mind me putting it on his feet and he doesnât even try to lick it off. I have also noticed that his paw pads are getting much softer and not cracked at all. I havenât tried mushers secret in the summer yet but if it works as well I will use it all year round. Thank you for making such a good product!

I’ve purchased booties over booties over booties. They don’t work as my little 9 lb. Boy won’t walk in them.His paws freeze and he cries waiting for you to go get him.However since I’ve been using this product “no freezing paws, no salt stinging”. It’s great! I will never try booties again. The amount in this little bucket will most likely get us through at least 5 winters if not more.Chance enjoys my massaging his paws with it.
