Integrated light, easy to use, well built.
Leashes for our furry critters are one of those things you have to live with to decide what works and what doesn’t. We’ve used this one for a few weeks, and I’m pleased with it. The integrated light is a pleasant surprise; it’s handy in low light conditions, and well integrated. The retractable leash works well; the ‘chew resistant’ cable is about 3′ of plastic coated wire cable, which doubles as well as a short connector for pet restraint (we used it in a golf cart to tether the dog to the seat while riding). Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Strong and Comfortable
We had the opportunity to test this out with our current foster dog — a very strong adult pit mix — and it’s been working quite well for us (a week, thus far). The lead is very comfortable for both us humans and for our foster doggo! I wasn’t expecting scented poo bags, but that was a nice surprise (don’t recall reading about this in the description, but I could have overlooked it at the time). We’re quite happy with it, and it’s more comfortable for her than the chain she arrived with (lead only, she has a woven collar).

Mine and my dachshund’s first retractable leash. It is great!
This retractable leash is quite nice. It has bonus items included with it. Such as the LED rechargeable light, chew proof cable, poop bags and dispenser for them. The locking system works nice without any sticky points. The leash feeds out quietly and smoothly. It is not too heavy or bulky for extended walks with your pet. I love the idea of a built in light in case I would be late getting home from our walk and it gets dark too soon … like it does in the winter, lol. The swivel clasp to attach to my dog’s harness is really nice too as he is a small dachshund and the larger, heavier types he does not like. This is the same size and weight of a clasp that he is used to so that really helped with him liking this retractable leash.My dachshund is 10 years old and in all this time he and I have never had a retractable leash for him. I have found that the older he gets, the harder it is for him to adapt to things that are different. Some things he just refuses to get used to them, no matter how nice it might be, lol. In these photos we were testing it for the first time and he was not too sure of that gentle pull that was always there when I did not have it locked. He would go a short way and then stop to look back at me. Later in the day we went for a longer walk with the new leash on the roads and he discovered he loves it. We live in a rural area without a lot of traffic, so he took one side of the road and I took the other with the leash stretched between us. Before I would have to zig-zag back and forth as he scented new things he wanted to check out. Now he can go as he likes and I can stop his travels when a car is coming, so it all works out great for him and I both!In all the time of our walking the retractable leash worked great! It did not get tangled. It was quiet. My hand did not get tired with the extra weight of it. I did not use the chew cable as at his age, he does not try chewing his leashes. All in all, I really like this retractable leash with all the extras and I’m recommending it highly. It is not a bad price either (as of the today’s date 11-6-2024), considering the extras.

Real Testing with My Active Lab Mix
I picked up this retractable leash about three weeks ago for my 53lbs goldendoodle and its been pretty great for our daily walks! really love that built-in light feature for our evening walks – no more juggling a flashlight and leash in the dark. the anti-chew cable is a nice touch since my boy likes to grab his leash sometimes when hes excited. been using the poop bag holder every day and it actually stays attached unlike my old one that kept falling off. the brake system works smooth – easy to control my pup when he spots squirrels (which is like every 5 minutes lol). few things to watch out for though – took me a couple walks to get used to the lock button placement and sometimes the poop bags are a bit tricky to pull out one-handed. handle is comfy even during our hour-long walks and doesnt slip when my hands get sweaty. that 16ft length is perfect for letting him explore while still keeping control. the retraction is nice and smooth – no jerking or sticking like my last leash. survived getting caught in the rain twice now and still works perfectly. makes our walks more enjoyable since i dont have to constantly adjust or untangle things. just remember to keep the mechanism clean if your pup likes muddy walks like mine does – bit of dirt can make it less smooth. definitely worth getting if you walk your dog a lot especially in different light conditions.ââââââââââââââââ
