Good for puppies/small dogs
I just got a puppy and she needs training in the car. This is great for her to learn to stay in her seat and not climb on the driver and I know she wonât slip out of the car if a door or window is open. This is definitely not strong enough for my big dog but she is well trained and stays laying down in the back seat when she goes for rides.

This seatbelt leash does keep our dog from roaming to far in the seat. I did find that in our Mazda CX5, the center buckle is apparently a different size so these did not connect in, and I had to use one of the side buckles instead. One other thing to note is that these are a no-stretch leash. I didn’t think about that until getting a seat cover that included its own leash that has a small section that stretches a bit. Our dog doesn’t seem to mind one over the other, but in the event of an accident, that little give might reduce some types of injuries.The length is maybe a little shorter than I expected, our dog is a medium size and she can sit or stand directly over the buckle, but has to lay down if she moves to any other part of the seat, and can’tget her nose to the window to sniff the air. I understand part of the reason for these is to prevent unwanted movement so I get it, but if she was any taller, I think I’d have to convince her to lay down to even clip on to her harness.

I love these so much. And my furbabies don’t seem to mind them either. I don’t have the 2 legged kind of kiddos so my fur ones are my whole life. They literally have everything. I didn’t know they made these. They didn’t like the car seat so I needed an alternative to keep them safe. This set was perfect. I have a boy and girl and it came with a pink and black. They are adjustable so you can make them longer or shorter for you babies safety and comfort. My dogs would whine or fidget and walk around when not restrained. Now with these, they just sit in the backseat quietly and enjoy the ride. As you can see by the pic, my baby girl was even smiling lol. When I told the vet I had to get them in their seat belts she was like oh my gosh you guys are spoiled. But they are my babies and I want to keep them safe. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend these!!! They are strong and durable, just like a leash and just buckle right into your regular seat belt buckle.

These arenât the best. The adjustment buckles are plastic and break under the tension of a pulling dog. The seatbelt clip part feels cheap. Spend a little more and get some better ones for your fur baby.

The seat belt material is thinner/narrower than expected. It’s long enough for our 65lbs boxer/staffy mix but I’m not convinced it would restrain her well if we got in an accident. Would recommend for smaller breeds (25lbs and under) but it does work for larger breeds too. Can take a bit of force to get it to click in to the seat belt. Good price!
