This product continue to hold up for my 50 lbs, very hyper, siberian husky! He has 26 feet to wander alongside me as we walk. I am very happy with this very convenient, affordable purchase that makes our walks more enjoyable for us both!

Heavy duty leash
This retractable leash is larger than expected, as I was used to a medium weight 15ft retractable, and could easily accommodate someone with large hands. While my dog is only 54lbs, it’s definitely strong enough for a large dog. The strap is over a 1/2″ wide and the snap-hook is roughly finger length, not small enough to get lost in your hand like many leashes. The brake works perfectly. I haven’t tried the lock. I expect this product should last for a quite a while. My only complaint is the persistent whining sound as the leash plays out. My previous leash was nearly silent. But this is just being picky.

Worth every penny.
I bought this thinking it would last a month before I had to buy a more expensive one. That never happened. I have used this retractable on 10 mile hikes and on normal walks letting it reel in and out most off the time. It hasnât malfunctioned yet. I canât say everyone will have the same experience but for the price, I feel like I could replace this thing twice a year but I am still on the first one.

Great for a Hound dog!
My Basset Hound puppy enjoys sniffing everything while taking her on a walk.16′ retractile was just too short, I needed +25′ to give her freedom to range back and forth as we walked down the driveway. This 28-29′ allows me to walk comfortably, and her plenty of running room to sniff ‘do-her-thing’ then recall to me. Basset hounds are difficult to train to stay relatively close, this is just right IMHO.The quality is fine, retraction is fine, even with the flat tape units, if you let them get all twisted up – well, of course it’s gonna give you grief. Just pull it back out, and allow it to feed back in straight.I bought 2x of them, one for the truck, and one for the house. I know, where ever we go, I’ll have a solid retractable lease with me. (Also have 2x 16′ units, which are lighter, but not getting much use anymore).

Does not withstand a strong dog!
The strap is supposed to be sturdy, and handle 110lb dog. The strap tore very easily from where the locking spring stops it. Almost snapped , the locking spring broke only after a few uses. I have a strong 50lb dog. That lunges. And of course it didn’t handle him Maybe I just got a bad one. Hopefully the replacement will be better. The handle is comfortable though and easy to hold.

Good leash. Someone else said itâs noisy and it is. You can hear the cord wrapping back up inside whenever the pup moves but Iâm not too picky with that stuff. The leash itself feels nice and sturdy and the lock mechanism is easy to press yet sturdy. It doesnât tangle easily either which is great. For the price, Iâd say this is a solid leash, especially for how long it is!
