Bright and LONG
Tough situation here: we LOVE the HIGH QUALITY BUILD of this. The genius of the hinges where no matter how the dog twists the leash has free floating pivot points to keep it level in your hand. The color is accurate and bright!! We like the flashing setting to make it hard to miss.Why lose two stars? Noticed right away that lights are only visible on one side of the leash. Totally dark on the back side and you want to be clearly visible both directions..Its way too long: If you are over 6′ tall walking a toy dog this is the perfect leash for you.I’m 5’10” with a dog whose shoulder is 24″ off the ground. The good news is when I fold the leash I get lights on both sides. The bad news is I wish the leash was at least a foot shorter as he gets too far away.To fix the length issue: I’d remove two of the LED lights and insert the hinge there. After the hinge I’d make the clip directly attach to that hinge or maybe a 2″ strip to clear the collar and fur for the pivot motion.To fix the back dark issue: Run at least 3 of the led lights through the back? Put a couple of rivets in where the light shines through? Something to make it not so dark from the back side.Thanks for reading!
