Overall, these are quite good, at least for being a fairly budget-conscious model. So far at least. But I was shocked to open the door and watch my 50 pound basset hound go running out into the street. He just pulled the seatbelt latch right out of the car connector. (New car, 2023 model). I’m really wondering why no one has devised a model that connects to the car baby seat hooks – those would be industry standard, and no way is a medium sized dog gonna pull that connection apart. Anyway, I pulled out the back seat headrest and put the seatbelt connector on the leash through the post with a heavy-duty stainless steel carabiner (NOT aluminum!), then put the post back in. Solution for me, yes, but maybe not for owners of cars without removable headrests in the back.

Too big for small dogs
The product worked as intended; however, my dog is 20 lbs and the seatbelt would not tighten up enough to keep her from reaching the front seat. Because it was such a distraction, I had to find another way to buckle her in so that she would be safe and not interfere with me driving. Great for larger dogs, not so much for smaller dogs.
