THIS STUFF FIXED MY DOG’S YEASTY, RED, IRRITATED, ITCHY PAWS!!!My 3 yr old was licking & chewing her paws to the point she was tearing the pads off & bleeding, 😖!! Poor girl was SO uncomfortable!! I’d tried MANY things, if not all. “Probiotics, anti -itch cortisone creams, chlorhexidine wipes between the toes, socks, booties”. Nothing worked! We had her on Apoquel which does work to minimize the problem, but didn’t eliminate it. Between her toes or was SO red, inflamed, irritated & obviously itchy…because she was constantly licking her paws.I took a shot with this stuff. IN “1” DAY… IT CLEARED UP THE RED, INFLAMED AREA BETWEEN HER TOES…returning to the usual, normal color!!! SUCCESS!!! 👍👍👍Now, it’s literally been only “1” day since we used this balm & saw such dramatic improvements…but I know how concerned I was at how uncomfortable my girl was, so I wanted to put up this review so hopefully it helps you decide to try this, which hopefully works just as good on your pup’s paws, 🤞.I also applied the balm to my 9 yr old Golden’s dry spots on her elbows that caused minor hair loss. Again, it’s only been 1 day, but I must say, both areas look much improved for it only being 1 dayAnd most importantly…there was zero negative/bad reaction to the product from either of our pups.Good luck!

Works wonders/ Kind of smelly/ Not the easiest to apply/ Dog loves it!
My dog has really bad allergy issues, and she’s been dealing with some dry itchy spots on her skin. She was scratching way too much at her dry skin. I was having a terrible time trying to find something that would help her and that she would actually like. (She hates all the spray products I’ve tried out, and they all smelled strongly of chemicals anyway.) This is my new favorite dog skin balm. I can rub this balm on those spots and she doesn’t scratch for a few days before needing to reapply it, and she hasn’t tried to lick it at all. She gets excited when she smells it now. I will say it does have a natural smell that isn’t very pleasant, but it’s helped her so much that I just don’t care. Also, It’s not the easiest to apply. It kind of feels like hard wax in a tin, and it kind of turns into a thin ointment when you rub it. I wish it was in the form of a stick, but, again, it works so well that I can overlook it. If your dog is having itchy dry skin spots due to allergies and you’ve had a hard time finding something they like that will stop the scratching, I highly recommend trying this product out.

Easy On & Healing Paws
I am definitely not an expert in this area, but I have tried a couple of different products on my dogs. I had used plain virgin coconut oil when I noticed that my rescue dog was developing little cracks in his paw pads after the hot dry summer we just had. I had previously used coconut oil on my last dog’s nose, which would get dry and cracked in the winter, and it worked great. But I found it hard to put on the paws, mostly because of how hard it is when cold. The paw pads aren’t warm enough to melt it. I tried a few different approaches, but the real problem was that although it felt and smelled good, it really was not healing the paws like it healed the nose. So, I bought a product specifically for dog paws. It too, was hard and difficult to spread onto pads. It had shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax. It just was not working. Then I decided to try Trail Hound. I have been using it now for 2 weeks, applying it nightly on my boy’s paws. First, it was much easier to apply. It has the shea butter and coconut oil, which I like. But it also has types of oils, like jojoba, olive and others, which make it easier to spread, and, in my opinion, make it more emollient. And my boy does not want to lick it off. But best of all, I am beginning to see a difference in the feel of his paw pads. The little cracks are not yet completely gone, but they are definitely healing. I bought the 1 ounce to give it a try, but it is not going to last long with my German Shepherd mix and his big paws (maybe 3 1/2 weeks total). Winter is just getting started and we continue to have very dry conditions. So, I am reordering in a larger size. Now if I could only find something that works as well on my own paws! (lol)
