How did we get started?
Yogasleep started in 1962 with love and a dog bowl! Our founder, Jim Buckwalter, was a traveling salesman. His insomniac wife liked to travel with him. She learned that the soothing lull of the air conditioner unit helped her get to sleep. Jim loved to tinker, & got to work creating the very first sound machine that replicated the constant whirring noise of moving air with none of the disturbance of actual moving air. And thus, the Dohm was born!

lots of sounds + long battery life + small form factor = 5 stars!
when I had my baby son (now 8 months old), my husband had just read about the 5 S’s method by Dr Harvey Karp. One of the S’s is shush which is a constant background noise that imitates the sound that babies hear from inside the womb. So we started looking for a white noise machine. One of our friends has a Yogasleep Hushh which we liked, but when we started shopping for it, we saw the Hushh+ and decided to get it instead. Both are great buys because they are portable and the battery life is long, and Hushh+ almost costs twice as much as the original Hushh, but I think it’s worth the money and I will explain why.First, Hushh+ has a lot more sounds including some very nice sounding music, heart beat, “shh”, water stream, whereas the original Hushh only has 3 types of white noises. We don’t actually use all of those sounds, but it’s nice to have options.Second, Hushh+ has a better sound quality. We almost always use the brown noise (the noise that is lower in frequency) for sleep and it has some “oomph” bass to it despite the small size, much to our surprise. To us, it sounds more soothing (even though the baby still takes catnaps). We have tried our friends’ original Hushh and the sound is harsher with less bass.Third, compared to the original Hushh, Hushh+ has other functionalities like night light, Bluetooth connection to connect to your phone, sleep timer, much longer battery life (20 hours vs 8 hours advertised). The build quality is better too.These are the reasons why I think it’s a great buy. It’s super portable, has great sound and build qualities, and sometimes my baby would even play with it like a toy. Highly recommended!

This is a perfect sound machine when we travel with our little one. Easy to use and has a long battery life. The night light option is cool, too!

Very high quality and great sound options
This thing is SO nice for the price. The sound quality is wonderful, and Iâm obsessed with the white noise and peaceful music options. I have one of these in another brand and I like this one way more. I also love the Bluetooth speaker option. All of the noises make my baby and me sleep well. The light is also really nice and gentle.

Very portable and can get loud
We use this as our normal at home sound machine as well as the one we use out and about. It’s small and very easy to pack but can be as loud as we have needed it to be. Some of the white noise settings aren’t completely random so your brain will pick up on patterns but it doesn’t seem to bother our kiddo.

DO NOT BUY! Doesnât charge properly
I would give this negative 5 stars if I could. This product ships with a USB-C port for charging. But the company messed up! It will never charge via USB-C. I wasnât able to charge my white noise machine for days while traveling, and my daughter and my entire family got much worse sleep.A USB-C cable will only charge a device if it gets a little signal on one end from the device that says, âHey, Iâm a chargeable device. Please send power.â This is a safety feature to make sure both ends canât send power and dangerously overheat a cable. This is an important rule a company is supposed to follow any time they use USB-C in one of their products.Yoga Sleep either lazily or incompetently did not set up that signal. So a USB-C cable when plugged in does absolutely nothing when plugged in.You can only charge it if you can find a USB-A-to-USB-C cable. This was a damn inconvenient thing to discover while traveling with my baby for the first time. USB-A is type of cable that is nearly 30 years old! Every modern device I have charges with USB-C-to-USB-C. Itâs tedious and ridiculous that Yoga Sleep chose to ship their product in such a broken state.Boo Yoga Sleep! Fix this! And never do this again.

Great Device with Obvious Flaw
The device is great; easy to use, long lasting charge, great sounds.But, in what I can only imagine was a rather obvious oversight by the engineering team, the charging port is recessed too far into the plastic such that standard USB C cables cannot charge this device.You HAVE to use the cable that came with the device, which makes it much harder to travel with, and maintain in general. Great device otherwise, but man what a bummer they allowed such a silly/obvious flaw into the design.

Love this sound machine, only one issueâ¦
I absolutely love this sound machine. Works great for my infant so that he sleeps soundly. I recommend it to everyone but with a minor warning⦠the c port for charging stopped working within two months of purchasing the machine. Thankfully I have a charging pad, so the other option for charging works fine for me. Would have given a 5 star review if it hadnât been for the charger port going bad.

I loved the much simpler original version of this sound machine and bought this as a second one. Can’t say enough good things about the upgrade, it is so thoughtfully designed. Love all the added sound settings. The tactile dots on the most important buttons so I can easily operate it in the dark are a great feature (power, volume settings and light). 5 brightness settings for the light. Soft rubber ring foot on one side so it doesn’t vibrate the surface it’s on. I have it unplugged every night all night (up to 12 hours) and frequently forget to charge it at all or charge it for 15 minutes every other day and it’s hasn’t died on me yet, although it is brand new so we’ll see how long that lasts. Timer settings for auto shut off. Such a useful little machine.
