Too wide for me to use for front carrier on bike
I so very much wanted this to work as a front pack to carry my chihuahua/dachshund mix on my bike, but my arms aren’t long enough to safely steer around the carrier so I’ll have to look for something else. I know this is meant to be an airline pet carrier and I fully expect it would have worked a treat for that. Dog had no issues going into the carrier and would have just fit. Removable/replaceable bottom section is plenty sturdy enough, and its cover is plush, removable and washable. Mesh on side walls and top provide pet decent ventilation and visibility without being too exposed, in case they’re already nervous. Super sturdy stitching and zippers worked just fine. My dog is right about 12 pounds and did sort of slide toward the corner against my body when used as a backpack.

Ordered JetBlue instead of Southwest by accident but can say 9/10 Loved the compartments! Most usually have small or flat pockets but this one was spacious and even had a water bottle holder which is rare. The mesh is really durable too BUT once you fill in the sides with stuff, it blocks off one sides airflow resulting in less ventilation. Our Bichon pup who goes in a travel carrier weekly for car commutes, was overheating within minutes that this just wouldnât work. Wouldâve kept if we had a less fluffy dog like a chihuahua or something

cat is more stable laying down but most cat backpacks are vertical so he doesnt fit (he is 10lbs, pretty median size). this one solves that problem. cat loves it so far but we havent gone to the vet yet ð hoping to use this for plane travel. it seems like the solid parts of the backpack are bending a little over time to conform to the shape of my back which is actually helpful but makes me nervous that it wont last more than a few years. still good for the price tho. i was worried that it has so much mesh but its VERY solid mesh, high quality. my son has not tried with full intensity to escape yet (trying to train him to sit in it so he doesnt feel like hes dying every time) but im pretty confident in the mesh being scratchproof (if you have an escape artist cat like mine)

My dog is 14 lbs and she was fine in it. The stewards on Spirit let me unzip so she could see out. The backpack feature made it easy to carry her. The multiple zipper compartments and size made it perfect.

Sits at an angle
Disclosure: I returned this item due to the below issues.Pros:- I wanted to love this bag so much. Unlike most pet carriers that are more vertical, this one is horizontal and gives my dog more room to lay down while traveling.- Very sturdy materials (sans the chest strap which I feel is thin)Sadly, that doesn’t make up for the issues the bag has.Cons:- This bag sits at an angle when on your back. Which leaves the pet essentially in the v bottom corner. Very unappealing for my dog.- It’s fairly uncomfortable to wear – I tried it out for about 30 minutes and my back hurt so much (my dog is 6 pounds, the bag is about the same so under 15 pounds total which is low weight for me). I felt it wasn’t constructed to sit in the best way for the use.- The chest strap is very thin and while it’s nice it can move a few inches up or down, I think part of how it sits at an angle could have benefited if that strap was more at the stomach area, and in that was also more sturdy so you could hold onto that strap to straighten it out.Lastly, not a flaw, but I ordered the 8.5″ wide version specifically because of the airline I planned to fly on but received one that is more than 9.5″ wide. Whether that was a mistake of the seller picking the wrong version, or perhaps that all the version are actually the same width no matter which option you choose, I do not know. But just FYI if you are on a strict airline. I did not fly with it so I cannot specify if it would have worked for an airline with 8″ width parameters.

Donât do it! You can find something better.
Do not get this for your cat. My cat hates this bc it doesnât stay level, itâs goes lopsided and your cat canât be level in this. It wonât be a good experience for you or them. I immediately returned this. A regular carrier would be better.
