Purr-fect cat toy/sport!
My older less active cat is now getting his âstepsâ following the unpredictable movement of this âpreyâ all over the house. Holds his attention 5 minutes and then shuts off which is perfect so he can pounce on it and play with his conquest before I swap it for a little cat treat and put the toy away until later. This really isnât a toy, itâs a sport and he loves it!

less than I’d hoped for
After watching a video of this toy I thought man my kitty would go crazy for this thing, so I ordered it. Its a decently cheap toy, it shipped nice and quick and was mostly charged so I was able to fire it up for my kitty and he was like “dad… what the heck is that?! do you expect me to play with it? pfft Dad I’m not a kid anymore” Uhh… huh I guess there is no accounting for what the cat thinks. He follows it around, he does show interest but unfortunately he’s not really interested so there you go. 4 stars because it just didn’t do it for him, but quick sale, ship, arrived in one piece and “works as advertised” but my little buddy isn’t really interested. YMMV

Not sturdy enough
My cats found this very interesting and were keen on chasing it around. However, half the time when it bumped into a wall or furniture it knocked the socket on one side of the u- shaped piece away from the cog on the side of the ball and then the toy would stop moving although the motor was still running. Had to constantly fix this. Also, the “instructions” are fairly useless – some thing about holding the button for a long push vs a short push for different functions (speed and continuous vs motion activated). I gave up trying to figure it out and just kept pushing the button (once I actually figured out where it was) until the thing would start running and stopped worrying about speed or mode.

Fun cat toy but doesn’t quite operate right…
I swear this item has eyes. Once it gets going, it is fast and it is unpredictable. It will circumvent you if you stand in it’s way. We live in a 1500sf house, and within the first minute it had lost itself in the farthest corner of the house. Since it stops at 5 minutes, we could not listen for and find it. Had to move furniture to find it.It is too fast to gain and keep my 4 year old cats attention. She only plays with it if we stick it in a light weight box that will jump as the toy does it thing inside the box.The operating instructions are negligible. Better instructions are needed.

Improved timer options
This works better than another version I have that my cats love. This one has an option to play for 5 minutes and will shut off if no interaction from cats, but remain ready to play for 24 hours if they interact with it. Another version I had goes off every 15 minutes without interaction. That was both scary and annoying when itâs hidden under something and makes a startling noise while Iâm sleeping or at rest. This version does not do that, and I love it!! Also had the option to just shut off completely after 5 minutes. And two speed settings. My cats love it and meow at me to let it go when I have it in hand to turn on after charging.
