these come in so handy. While traveling it keeps our girl from trying to jump into the front seat. The length is adjustable so it can give her some space to move or to keep her contained. Just unhook from the seatbelt latch and take her for a walk. If she needs to stay in the car for a short while, it keeps her out of trouble.

Does that face say it all? We looped the ends over the backseat headrests and they work great! Our big dog has tried to bail or take over the front seat. That is a non issue as she loves to catch the wind blowing in her face. Our little dog just gets to stay safe on the seat. We tried a barrier but it proved useless.

Useful but not durable for big dogs
I have a 6 month old Bernese mountain dog, and bought this for a road trip when we would be in my friendâs car and without his normal seatbelt. It was a 9 hour trip, during which he slept the whole time, and around hour 6 we had a sudden stop in traffic and the strap just broke. So, durability wise itâs lacking, but, itâs nice that it has two ways to secure your pet (around the headrest or in the seatbelt buckle), and I appreciate that itâs long enough for my sweet boy to look out both windows while heâs in the car. Maybe it would work better for a lighter pet!
