My sonâs favourite book!
Such a simple book, but perfect for babies and toddlers. The pictures are great and the flaps make it fun. My toddler makes me read it over and over again, each time as if heâs reading it for the first time. They all have it memorized and continue to ask to read it. Great for introducing different animals and their sounds even. And also a simple book that you could easily translate to another language if your home is bilingual. I have purchased for many bilingual families with young children and they all love it!

a classic
This book has page after page of animals hiding underneath a flip up flap pictured as a cage or habitat. This is a great interactive book for toddlers learning to speak and read pictures. After reading once through our grandson wanted to repeatedly go to just a few pages of the animal he most liked the imitating its voice. (roar, hiss, etc). He loved that he was able to lift the flap himself and we’d imitate the sound the animal makes over and over. This fun held his attention for a good 5-10 minute and it was a go to book for him for months. This book is a classic as it was one of our son’s favorite books some 37 years ago.

How cute is this book?
I first got a copy of this book at a library sale 20 yrs ago. It was a favorite in our house, and I love that I can continue to buy copies for new moms as part of baby shower gifts. It is a great predictable reader as well that children can read along with you and the flaps make it even more fun!

We love reading this book as a family
We just added this book to our bedtime reading and as a family, it’s fun to turn the pages together and identify the animals hiding behind the flaps. With two toddlers (3 &1), the older one enjoys shouting out the animals behind the flaps and the younger one likes turning the pages and opening the flaps. It’s great for this age as we’re learning and developing together. The board book itself is pretty durable which I prefer to buy because the kiddos at this age are not super gentle with their things. The flaps are a little fragile and will tear after awhile. I think this is expected for books of this type.

Classic lift the flip book
Classic, well made life the flap book.We love Where’s Spot so decided to gift this one for the Easter basket. The pages hold up well to toddler hands and he enjoys following the story along.I just wish there were a few more words on the page so we could enjoy it more. But overall, toddler loves it and it is a go-to in our house

Loved by Toddler
My 20 month old granddaughter loves this book. She can’t wait to lift the flaps and tell you what animal is there. Sturdy book that is short and entertaining.

Excelente para niños pequeños y que son muy curiosos. Importante cuidar bien, las pestañas. No son frágiles, pero siempre hay que tener cuidado.

Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell is an absolute treasure in our family, holding a special place on every bookshelf. I first bought this book for my son, and it quickly became a favorite that we enjoyed together for many, many years. Its charming simplicity, interactive flaps, and the fun of discovering which animal is hiding behind each one never seems to lose its appeal, no matter how many times weâve read it.I have also purchased countless copies of Dear Zoo for friends over the years, and it has been universally loved and well-received. The story’s timelessness and gentle humor make it the perfect gift for young children, and itâs a joy to see it spark the same excitement in other families that it has in ours. Whether youâre introducing it to a new generation or revisiting it for nostalgia, *Dear Zoo* is a book that will always bring smiles and memories.

Amamos o livro! Eu e a Helena (1 ano e 1 mês). Abas resistentes.
