Nice retractable leash, would like other features.
This just arrived this week so we’ve only got a few walks under our belts with it but so far this is a good but unspectacular leash in most regards. The handle is a comfortable shape but I do wish it was padded (always more comfortable, especially with 2 pups, even if they wear out. That’s actually a key reason I was looking for one).I will say that, while it is early and they all wear out eventually, the strip glides in and out really smoothly so far. A little noise but nothing like some I’ve had, but no catching or friction. I don’t know if it’s just the newness, material, or that the exit is more angled out the top instead of straight out. I was worried that would mean it would pull on the harness worse but in reality it lets it sit a bit more comfortable as the leash can then be angled down towards the dog more and the leash comes out straight. I really didn’t think I was going to like it at first but so far it’s been nice. I’m pretty sure it’s all coincidence, but for some reason since having this the dogs have criss-crossed less (or at least cross back the same way) to bring the number of times the leashes have been tangled each walk way down. I think it’s blind luck, but that is the only annoying thing that happens on our journeys so I’ll count it as a win as long as it lasts. The downsides to this are just a bit of lack of features and the braking system. Neither is a big issue, but the other thing breaking on the one this replaced was the casing around the flashlight it had built in. The other dog’s leash also has a rechargeable flashlight, and while not used often they can be handy. I’ve also had (or have) leashes with dog bag dispensers, treat or small water dishes built in, and the aforementioned padded handles (by far my biggest complaint). None matter a ton, but little quality of life upgrades are nice. The brake is just something I have yet to get used to. I’ve had where you click down and then a smaller click button to release, or a slide back and forward. This for just hitting the brake is nice as it’s a big long button to press and hold down. The issue is more locking which is a little lever you press forward at the further end of the button-just a bit further away and easier to miss or let off the button a little as you slide it, especially if in a rush to lock it (say running into another pup if yours gets excited). The locking is the only part that feels just a little off in how it’s done compared to the rest, where the temp brake is nice that it can be done with various pressure as a signal for the dog to slow without being suddenly jerked.Anyway, I’m happy with it and whether it’s luck or something about how this pulls, getting the dogs tangled less puts it as a favorite so far. We’ll see over time but it’s nothing fancy but works really well, with a good length leash and extends and retracts very smoothly.

Strong and Sturdy
This Poozonlife Retractable Dog Leash is excellent! It’s incredibly strong and sturdy, giving me peace of mind while walking my dog. The 16 ft nylon tape extends smoothly, and the 360° tangle-free design works perfectly, even with an active pet. It feels durable and comfortable to use. Highly recommend for pet owners who want a reliable leash!

Works well
This leash actually works well. Our doll pulls hard and strong. Most of these types of leashes break because of him. This leash is strong. It holds my dog secure and it has not broken. It is not heavy to hold and it has not tangled on me yet.

Almost as good as Flexi and less expensive
I spent $60 on a German-made Flexi leash with all the accessories for my dachshund (crazy expensive, in my opinion) and I admit I ended up loving it (German engineering is hard to hate), but this one is a close second for less money, and I love having it to hang at the back door so I don’t always have to walk all the way to the front to get the other leash when I want to take the dog out back instead (no fenced yard). Poozon’s large leash for up to 110 lbs is a little bigger than the Flexi with the same ratings. It does not have the feature a Flexi does to reduce the size of the handle grip. Both have 16 feet of flat nylon tape. The Flexi tape is white and reflective, the Poozon tape is black and not reflective. The brake on both leashes works the same, where you push down to stop the mechanism, and you can slide a lock forward to keep it that way if you like. This is the best part in my opinion because the back-door leash I had before this, the brake was either locked or not, so if I used it and the dog started back toward me, it would snap up the difference in tension and scare the dog if I unlocked it. Being able to press and release OR lock it makes this leash worth it on that feature alone. The front of the Flexi has a 360° swivel feature to keep the tape from getting tangled. The front of the Poozon doesn’t go 360°, but it does have little notches on either side of the opening to keep the tape from tangling. This may actually be a better way to do it because I’ve definitely had to pull the Flexi all the way out before to get it untwisted after we got home; the Poozon doesn’t seem to have that problem. The feel of the leash reel is almost the same on both of these leashes, but I’d have to say the Poozon is just slightly – and I do mean only slightly – less smooth. The clips to attach to the collar are heavy duty on both leashes, and the spring is smooth. You can add a bag holder to the bottom of the Flexi leash, and although there is a hole on the underside of the Poozon leash, I can’t find any info that says it’s to attach a bag holder, and it looks different from the Flexi so you can’t use a Flexi holder on the Poozon. (See pics for comparison.) I dont feel adding the rechargeable flashlight from a Flexi would work on the Poozon either, as the sides of the Poozon are slightly rounded, and the Flexi is flat so you can velcro a light accessory to it. Overall, if you don’t need the accessories of a Flexi, this Poozon is a nice, cheaper alternative.

Great Quality Leash
This leash works great. It’s fairly lightweight and very easy to use. It doesn’t seem to tangle/twist as much as other retractable leashes I’ve had or used. It does seem pretty heavy duty, but I have no clue whether or not it would effectively hold a large dog if it started pulling at the leash. I’m really happy with this leash and would recommend it to others.

Feels good in my female hand, tape design moves easily in the case
I ordered this retractable dog leash to use with a 15 lb terrier dog. It is probably a bit of overkill since this retractable leash will work for dogs up to 110 lbs but I got it regardless because I liked the design of the handle – I am pleased with my choice! The grip on the handle fits my medium female hand perfectly and comfortably. The thumb lock and release is easy to reach and not difficult to utilize. The silver metal hardware is very secure and sturdy. The tape moves smoothly in and out of the handle unit and my dog now has an extra 12 feet versus her usual 4 foot leash since this is 16 feet in length. This extra length allows my dog to roam as we walk trails but it is not so long that she ends up winding herself around a tree.Very pleased with this retractable 16 ft dog leash and would definitely recommend!
